The most disappointing ships

Wich ship for your personal opinion are the most disappointed?

I know,i'm one of those who want to collect all the ships, right now i have in port 134 ships, many of them never seen 1 battle.

Of couse i started from what i liked, for exsample: Gearing, Yamato and Shimakaze .........

Whit the Gearing i had a great feeling, its my favorite ship i love it.

The Yamato, 1 of my dream, i really dont now why, but i cant feel well 74 battles, 55kills ...  , espacially if compare the reults with my new Montana 30 battles, 38 kills and fun to use it.

Shimakase ...... no words, i aways wanted to have it, but after 14 match and 2 kills :hiding:, i stopped using it. It is also the only ship i sold.

Duca d'aosta..... -.-" do i have to say more? ...

Des moines. I always hate ths ship when play whit Gearnig or Khaba, maybe for this reason i can not find satisfaction in using it.

ciao

Alessandro

Myogi...there are people who like it but it is just horrible for the average player. You can get twice better results with a Wyoming using one hand while drunk and blindfolded.

EDIT The turrets on the Myogi are so far away from each other and so few that you indeed feel like drunk and blindfolded when shooting them. Most hilarious when shooting at close targets, must be imperial gunners from "Spaceballs"

Henrietta. Not a bad ship per se. I thought she would be so much...more.

The Yamato, 1 of my dream,

I have the same felling.

Yamato is just meh, while Montana is a queen and since last patch she is a goddess.

I like the mobility and the non-pen shells that hurts cruisers a lot.

T-22 = absolutely useless turdboat

T-22 looks like a fishing trawler :D

And has the same shell ballistics as an angry fisherman throwing around his catch  :D

As far as my contribution to the thread, I'll say the Algérie.

She not a bad ship, but she is disappointing.

On paper and historically, she's a rival to the Hipper and New Orleans. A beefy heavy cruiser with 8 to 9 powerful 203mm guns, decent armor and maneuverability.

With that in mind, you're expecting a certain amount of performance.

But then you play her, and realize that she's slow, the damage isn't very reliable with neither good damage persalvo nor good AP ricochet angles. The armor just doesn't work and the ship is spotted from very far away.

You can make her work by mindlessly being the furthest back, slinging HE at far away targets, but man, talk about disappointing.

I had more fun playing with a stock North Carolina.

For me it looks like the prototype of Chernobyl sarcophagus.

Probably the Dunkerque. Made of petrol, visible from the moon and turns like... well a battleship. In it's defence it has a healthy HP pool and can set things on fire just as easily as they do to you.

In my madder moments I almost buy the Dunkerque.... (done this several times)

For me - have to say that no ships have really disappointed me, well, Fuso to some degree, enjoyed her in Beta... but didn't think she worked as well when I ground her in the 'real' game...

(This is ignoring RN cruisers when they were first introduced when 'disappointed' is an understatement for all the T2-T5)

T22  is some of magical beast. It combines all the bad stuff from other DDs into one horrible package. Low HP, quite slow, peashooter guns, meh maneuverability, meh AA, rather crappy detection. The one thing she has is fast reloading torps... but when the detection and the torps range is that close together on a rather poorly accelerating and turning DD, it gets unpleasant real fast.

Initially Montana before she got buffed, but I learned to live with her weaknesses eventually.

Speaking of pre-buff ships:

Colorado

Jesus, that was a nightmare to grind through.

Yeah, gotta be Yamato.

*Shoot* - Overpen

*Shoot* - Normal damage for 4k

*Shoot* - Overpen

But she's my favourite all-time battleboat, so she can stay in my port all she likes :3

Historically accurate port camping.

So its not just me, I was thinking I was playing it wrong... there goes my next batch of free xp.

Jesus, that was a nightmare to grind through.

At first thats what I thought (Colorado), then I started to play her at sub 15 km ranges, suddenly she started to do better. The problem she has is she is not really fast enough to brawl like that consistantly. All in all I've had worse grinds.

Good to see there are others that dislike the Yam, I find her fat and slow witted. Everyone will focus the hell out of you as they are terrified of 18" guns...

Also big up to the Monty lovers, the best T10 BB and better now because of the buffs :honoring:

In fact IJN BBs disappoint after the Amagi IMO

I'm not sure how to see the question: disappointing in the sense I totally suck with a ship and keeping it afloat would deserve an achievement already or a ship which I believed was "it." But disappointed me even I'm not performing that bad?

The former is Baltimore. The latter are Hipper and Yamato in my case.

You, my friend, are lucky to never have experienced pre-buff Colorado.

Kirov, as I expected it to be a performer and found it really unrewarding. Good guns balanced by the worst cruiser hull in game.

For premiums, it's got to be Lo Yang. Dunkerque close second.

Some YouTubers were saying how good the Kirov was prior to RU Cruisers being released.

I was bitterly disappointed too as it's just too squishy to do anything with.

Lo Yang is just a Chinese Benson, should be totally inoffensive lol...

Love Dunker personally but I can see how it's an acquired taste as you're stuffed if you over commit and it's easily done due to her speed.

I'd have to say Indianapolis.

She looks great, guns sound awesome, has radar but she plays like crap.

It isn't fun when you feel that a ship is a handicap and every time I take my Indy for a spin I feel like I could be more useful in any other T7

For me the Colorado grind was the bad part, not the final fully upgraded ship. That old A hull (now removed) was incredibly painful, and the grind to the C hull (now B) immensely long.

The fully upgraded Colorado gradually grew on me, nowdays one of my favourite BB's.
