In this case AFT or manual AA is better? Can't take both yet... So i guess this will give me a lot of grief, but i use AFT and manual AA and i love it :) Its so fun the times i come up against a cv that it makes up for the loss of the other perks (dont really feel i need them). Its a funship so go for what you think is most fun, I just love to shoot planes :)

Drunken_Jedi Players 849 posts 2,954 battles Report post #28 Posted September 5, 2017 Surprised by so many people not speccing AA in their Minotaurs. The AA is absolutely insane, seriously. Rank 1 - Priority Target Rank 2 - Jack of All Trades (for consumable CD), AR. Rank 3 - BFT, Superintendant Rank 4 - AFT, CE You'll have 8.6km AA range with high DPS. It's easy peasy to just sit there and let your AA work passively while you spam AP in smoke, then realise you have 30 plane kills because the CV unknowingly flew near your smoke and lost all his planes. You also have the option to forgo AFT and spec Manual AA for increased DPS in your long range aura. It'll have a much shorter range but is better for focused self defence. I personally prefer the long range AA since it's handy for spotter aircraft launched spotting you from near your max detection range. Quite often it's saved my skin when I can go undetected by sniping them from max range, especially if it's a spotter plane that's going to be used to snipe me blind in smoke. I agree with your captain build, maybe vigil instead of BFT but it's no big deal. I'm mad and will be rolling with radar, it's served me well so far in Neptune and Edinburgh. 49s duration or so with that radar module so you're the ultimate DD Predator. kalamies Players 230 posts 5,952 battles Report post #30 Posted September 8, 2017 There is multiple ways to play minotaur and other builds suit better for different players. Depending how the ship feels and what role you prefer to play. Others use radar to hunt DDs, support as AA specced, sit behind long range or get close and agressive. My build suits perfectly for me but someone might feel it doesent fit.

kalamies Players 230 posts 5,952 battles Report post #32 Posted September 8, 2017 I play mostly agressive attack and sail right behind DDs. Ofcourse if there is radar ship i try to keep distance to it. Agressive doesent mean that you need to be stupid and yolo. http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/0100000001001000000001010000010119
