Game drops out..again and again

Middle of a battle suddenly game stops and I get dropped out to the log in screen. Get back in ship sunk. Happens about every 4th game and happens every time there is an update. Game is being ruined by this.

So you were both just kicked from the servers... or was it a CTD? I suffered my first hard CTD a few nights ago but it's been fine since. Have you been having more problems since then? It could have just been an intermittent hiccup with the server hamsters generally servers have been pretty stable... my potato internet on the other hand... .

If its a CTD or loading issue, then it could be a corrupted patch download or install.

Have you tried to verify game integrity (from the game launcher)?

If the game was hanging before being kicked to the log in screen it sounds like you lost connection. Perhaps check your own network and do a tracert on cmd.exe to see if you're getting timeouts somewhere along the line to WGs servers.

Well it can be much different things. I had it a long time ago as well. Turned out my router was about to go supernova and in it's terminal life phase. With a new 1 ordered it was all fine again. Perhaps that could be your issue as well. Also a clean re-install of wow's doesn't hurt. After some updates my client is getting "wonky" sometimes as well.

It happened to multiple people in multiple consecutive games last night. People in my division were dropping two or three times in a game, players on the enemy team were suddenly stopping dead in the water, obviously disconnected, players had MAJOR control issues (Emile Bertin with controls set to full reverse yet still barrelling forwards at full speed, attempting to turn and no response from rudder or worse opposite response from rudder). People in my clan, repaired, reinstalled, rebooted PCs and routers but to no avail. This does not hold true as an "issue is at users' end" situation.

I believe WoT EU had major server issues last night. Especially severe for British players.

 

Dunno if WoT and WoWs servers are somehow related, but if they are it might indeed be a server side thing.

Yep just had this problem.   Ship will suddenly freeze, then start moving again then chuck you out to the login screen by the time you get back in you are dead.   Happened in three games on the trot now, tested internet and everything seems fine on that end so guessing they have a problem with their servers pointless playing the game till they fix it.  I have been getting on occasion very minor freezes since the last update, was not a major problem the freeze in play was only a microsecond maybe less if you blinked you missed it but not playable at the moment.

Also been getting CTD's at least twice a night since 0.6.6 went live, file integrity was checked and it came up A-OK.

Just gotten this, dropped, got back in, fired, dropped, got back in, fired, dropped and so on. Still did more than most of my team that sailed the edge while they capped all 3 caps and steam rolled my team, was dead on the 4th reconnection.

Had this constantly today, across three games I dropped to the Connection screen six times. Even when it didn't drop to there, it was hanging every minute or so for five to ten seconds. I've done the game integrity check having read the above, will try again.

 

EDIT after one game, so admittedly hardly scientific, it seems better.

out of the sudden was having the same issues. droped out of battle once, game freezed for seconds every now and then after login in again, 2nd battle droped out 3 times, even more freezes. I stopped for now. unplayable atm for me. did someone open a ticket already or is there something official? ( not that I expect them to have a official announcement)

I didn't get game drop-out but I did have problems with ship steering, playing the Blyskawica the ship kept steering right when i was trying to steer left, also guns not firing when LMB was pressed but fired 2 seconds after, this has only started happening today.

Sounds like someone forgot to feed the server hamsters then, I'm sure it will pass. Could be something to do with the local area, peeps try doing tracert's and see if we have similar timeouts along the line might show what's going on.

Been getting a lot of connection drops recently from the game, no logout as it only happens for a few seconds but it is really ruining the game. WoWS servers are having latency issues and it aint just me, 2 of my friends are having the same issues. I can only conclude that WG or the datacenter is doing something in the background, hopefully they finish soon.

I've had 2 CTD's since last patch, both have included the game starting to "jitter" before the crash.

Since the patch went live the game has been pretty much unplayable, disconnects, screen freezes, unable to even log out of the thing, which then requires a restart.

 

Come on WG, give us an announcement on what is happening please.

What is going on, the last few days it has been a never ending stream of disconnect in the middle of games. Yesterday 4 in one game.

 

I connect from 2 different locations on very different connections so this isn't connection related.

 

WG have you noticed anything, communication one way or the other would be great.

I've noticed the latency issue as well. No disconnects yet.

 

I thought it's because the sudden influx of PVE players and computational power needed to run the scenarios. WG propably didn't see how popular they would end up.

Its happening over on NA as well - in most of my games last night people were complaining about lag spikes and temporary loss of control of their ships.

I experienced the same on Sunday and I stopped playing afterward. I submitted a ticket to customer support but they told me there was no server problem reported. I wonder did anyone else submitted a ticketed and got any (hopefully different) reply from WG?

I'm not having any issues with disconnecting, but after the update I have severe lag issues. FPS(40) and MS(30) are normal or same as before update. But the game lags as if MS should be around 80-120. Playing on macbook.

Have the same probs. You can watch your ping going down to negative numbers, then you are back on the login screen.

P.S.: check Farraguts torp range when you are in a game (strg+mouse over torp selection) and you´ll see amazing 9km torp range.

Ive never had this problem ever .... but It might be so because I only play couple of games per day.
