I got to Fiji when the Bisnark event kicked off. Bought Hood and decided to halt grinding and get my main Captain to 19 using Flags on Belfast while using Hood to do the level 10 Skipper. One event later, I have a level 19 in the Neptune, Level 10 in the Bismark, Level 10 in Leander and a Level 12 in Belfast (with 20 of the 777,100 and 150 percent flags for commander exp left, so he should be 19 before they run out). Thing is, playing the Neptune my games are much less fun than at T7, more camping, more abuse in chat from both sides and allot more idiots. I'm 15k from Minotaur (the free exp from those flags is insane) and I'm left wondering if I even want to bother with top tier. Anybody else find that T6/T7 is much mote enjoyable?

Far better - game-play faster and people friendlier. I suppose at Tier 9 and 10, having someone mess up costs you credits and the economy is a lot tougher. At Tier 7, I almost never make a loss, even if I make a complete bish of things. At that level, people will laugh, sometimes at you, sometimes with you. The competition is still excellent and much less camping on the whole. But I do have nearly 300 million credits so the economy bit is completely irrelevant now.

There is nothing remotely enjoyable about T6 at the moment!

Warspite begs to differ

The problem with tiers 5 and 6 is that you always get uptiered - Warspite is great but not against the Bismarck and Amagi.

I think it's about finding the ships you enjoy playing. High tier dd games are fun. I doubt high tier RN cruiser games are as fun. I enjoy playing Pensacola more than Fiji, so grinding RN line seems wasted to me. Just want upgrade Bismarck atm, otherwise it's just playing for fun, no grind.

Higher the tier better the ship in RN tree. On t10 Mini is one of most dangereous ship.

True, in Leander, Fiji and Belfast you get these great 10km battles that descend into close range knife fights. Neptune tends to get radar'd and focus fired before youvget close to anything

I agree that there's a notable drop in enjoyability after Tier 7 in most lines. Used to be that Tier 8 was just as fun, but the MM change hurt it just as bad as it hurt Tiers 5 and 6. Bismarck, Edinburgh, and Benson are great Tier 8 boats, but when you meet Yamatos, Minotaurs, and Khabas/Gearings 80+% of the time, it gets old fast...

I feel very little incentive to grind any of my Tier 8s or 9s other than Fletcher (she's just so GOOD!), when I could be having more fun at the lower tiers. Tier 7 is just a sweet spot to be at. There are hardly any truly bad ships there (other than the poor poor Ranger), and loads of enjoyable little gems with unique playstyles.

It just shows - I found the Pensacola as enjoyable as having teeth pulled - only made better by then having the New Orleans. I did buy it twice thinking maybe I had got better and might enjoy it more, but it was as fragile as I remembered and the turret traverse incredibly slow. Might be better now it is not seen from the moon but not bought it again!

atm with actual playerbase and meta? yes......fun stops latest at T8

the higher the tier the more useless campers you meet, the more useless brainfarts you smell and the more anger you feel

it is just insane

because after 2 years even the worst player got his T10

Edinburgh is good - you will find it much easier than the Neptune after the Fiji. Has stunning heal, much better than Fiji - seems bigger though and less favourable opponents. The citadel is not as easy to hit as the Neptune's though.

As I said: she's a great Tier 8 ship - if MM put her into Tier X games only 33% of the time rather than the 80+% it feels like atm, she'd be in a very good place. Right now, she ain't.

I enjoy Tier 6 the most. T9 and T10 on the other hand is populated by the worst players imaginable.

I have ships from t3 to t10 and my best games are t3 & t7.

I can bash around in my t3 Cambeltown/G-101 or my t7 Genisenau and people in those games actually play.

I agree that when you go up tier peoples brains seemingly begin switch off and you have a long frustrating 20 minutes trying to get good teamplay, good support and an enjoyable game.

Sometimes I wonder if those playing higher tiers actually own the accounts they play or perhaps purchased them from eBay. You'd think higher tier players would have better gameplay than they display.

It does seem to be worse at the weekends tbh.

However, the one positive thing that you have here is the fact you can go into a battle at any tier, so if you have a few bad games at tier 10 play a few in the lower tiers.

I would like to see an option where you can request battle only against those of the same tier.... I think MM can sometimes add to the frustrations of players.

A guy playing the Neptune and then whinging about camping LOL.

I have the Edinbugh and have no intention of going any higher as the sit in smoke spaming shells  of the Neptune and Minotaur would bore me rigid. In fact I got so bored in one game with facing a division of a Belfast and 2 Neptunes smoke spamming all game I just set my controls for the heart of the smoke and sailed straight towards them. How anyone can say that this sort of smoke firing is fun is beyond me.

I do not smoke camp, I've been considering a radar build. Smoe doesn't seem to work too well at T9 anyway due to the radar ever man and his dog seems to have

For 5 till 9 game is fun. 10 right now is domain of braindeadretardedzombies

Well. The braindeadretardedzombies are not only limited to T10. Difference is that you actually lose credits if you are a potato at T10. The braindeadretardedzombies are everywhere, they just stick out more at higher tiers. More influence on the gameplay.

Pluss at T8 and below its much easier to solo carry a team.

It's all fun if you want it to be.

Ships get deadlier and maybe the games start slower but they still end up the same way.
