New Ships

HMS Hood

As part of the Hunt for Bismarck event, we have released the legendary British ship HMS Hood. This Tier VII Battlecruiser is tanky, able to take a beating, and is a real gem for the history buffs and collectors out there. Tragically sunk by the German battleship Bismarck, this beast can already be seen sailing the high seas of mid-to-high Tier matchups.

Kaga

Originally intended to be laid down as a battleship, the Imperial Japanese Navy vessel Kaga was one of Japan's largest aircraft carriers. During its service in the Imperial Japanese Navy's First Air Fleet, it engaged in numerous battles during the Pacific War, eventually being scuttled during the Battle of Midway. This Tier VII Japanese Aircraft Carrier is visually unique, sporting a unique downwards-facing funnel and is coming to World of Warships soon!

De Grasse

3bb98f3e-4078-11e7-819a-ac162d8bc1e4_120

A light cruiser, follow-up to the La Galissoniere class, but with a bigger impact on AA - her 155mm guns were supposed to be dual purpose! While we are presenting her original project here, she was not finished in this configuration, as her construction was stopped during WWII.

U.S.S Enterprise

588c0a86-3fd0-11e7-9476-ac162d8bc1e4_120A legend approaches... and its name is "Big E"! This Yorktown-class Aircraft Carrier fought all across the Pacific and was the most decorated American ship of World War II. No stranger to a scrap—soon it will be roaming the seas again as part of the American branch of World of Warships!

Makarov

0b478c38-4079-11e7-819a-ac162d8bc1e4_120

Does this look familiar? Yes, you have seen it elsewhere! Admiral Makarov started its life as the light cruiser Nürnberg of the Kriegsmarine and was ceded to the Soviet Union after the end of WWII. This Tier VI Russian Cruiser will be live tested in June, so keep an eye out for it on the high seas!

HMS Gallant

e8eee6a8-4079-11e7-9dfe-ac162d8bc1e4_120This mid-1930s G-class ship had seen a lot! Starting with neutrality patrols during the Spanish Civil War, it suffered light damage during the evacuation of Dunkirk and escorted numerous convoys in the Mediterranean. Does Operation Excess ring a bell?

Specials

The battle of Midway is one of the most well known battles of the Pacific War, where the U.S Navy inflicted a decisive blow on the Imperial Japanese Fleet.

Welcome De Grasse to the game with a series of offers on French Cruisers!

17-20 June—Weekend Special Spotlight: American Destroyers

Missions and discounts on German Cruisers are on the table!

Missions

 07-14 June: Operation Juno

On 8 June 1940, Operation Juno was started with a German attack on Harstad. During this operation the German ship Scharnhorst, under the command of Kapitän zur See Kurt-Caesar Hoffmann and the vessel Gneisenau engaged and sunk the British carrier HMS Glorious and its escorting destroyers HMS Acasta and Ardent.

What's in store: Some varied missions that will be a good way to stock up on some Signal Flags.

14-21 June: Operation Vigorous

Between 12 and 16 June 1942, several supply operations to Malta were performed simultaneously by British forces. Operation Harpoon was the one heading from Gibraltar, while Operation Vigorous was sent from Alexandria. Both convoys were attacked by Axis ships and planes including the Italian battleships Littorio and Vittorio Veneto.

What's in store: This one will be good for those wanting to stock up on more Battle Hardened camouflages!

21-28 June: Battle of the Espero Convoy

The Battle of the Espero Convoy took place on 28 June 1940 southwest of Crete. The Italian Regia Marina chose three Turbine-class destroyers commanded by Capitano di Vascello Enrico Baroni to reinforce their position at Cyrenaica but the ships run into five British cruisers.

What's in store:  Get ready to spam shells and torpedos for this one.

28 June-05 July: Attack on Mers-el-Kébir

After the fall of France in 1940, the British War Cabinet was concerned that the Germans could gain control over the French Navy under the Vichy government. Churchill ordered that the Marine Nationale should either join with the Royal Navy or face neutralisation to prevent their ships falling into Axis hands. This lead to the Attack on Mers-el-Kébir on 3 July 1940.

What's in store: If you dislike French ships and enjoy dishing pain out to them, then this will be the perfect mission chain for you!

On the portal at last: :great:

Less info about requirements & rewards for the specials (less than in May, and way less than other servers duly give): :sceptic:

"One step in the right direction, offset by another step in the opposite direction, so no real improvements... Maybe you can nail in for July: on the portal, and with detailed descriptions, rewards & requirements. If missions are planned as long ahead as you claim, that should not be a problem to get those requirements posted upfront.

Meanwhile, ASIA also switched over to the clickable "monthly digest" with everything shown in terms of rewards, requirements,... That leaves EU as sole server once again that refuses to give any info;

Oh, and you can win a ship once again over there for grinding some base XP in a month. Once again...

Would you please stop advertising general XP on the website when it is always base XP in the game?

I don't know who is making a mistake there but this shouldn't take months to correct. It is false advertisement. And by now I am very much convinced that it is intentionally advertised the wrong way.

How is this balanced?

It isn't. But at least they are now giving us the proper mission details on the website. They are no longer hiding the little word base.

Always wondered why the reward was not named. But it became crystal clear yesterday. Smoke mod. 1 and a free port slot for surviving, top 3 and 10 torp hits. That is just ridiculos. I do not know if WG EU is just trolling and making fun of us or really wants to spoil us. The rewards for next week are not mentioned also. So, i guess its spotting plane mod and free captain slots. Right ?

Fixed.

Plural? You obviously got carried away.

At the very least the reward should be in line with the greater difficulty of the final mission. Smoke mod and port slot is a bit of a pi$$take. 1,000,000 credits for stage 4 is almost on a par with that.

Yeah, thought about slots because you can get four within a container. So giving just one would obviously be to nuts, even for WG. But the more i think about it I guess your fix is right. My bad.
