My Hood is currently 18 going on 19 followed closely by Warspite, Neptune then the rest of my RN ships (all of them minus Belfast) are 15 to 16. Using the Minotaur to get XP which is then spent on the ship captains to boost them for quicker 19 point captains. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Usually I flag them up with everything until thy get their 10th point and after that only the +50% flag. And after 15th skill I usually drop all acceleration. Back in the WoT days I always got new crew to each tank. But in WoWs I move the most experienced one to the new ship and then fill from the "back". My St.Louis is on her forth or fifth captain now. Favuz Players 359 posts 6,636 battles Report post #6 Posted May 30, 2017 0 My highest captain is on my Chapayev, 13 point close to 14 (and IFHE) I've got a bunch of 10-11 pts captains (Nagato, Amagi, Mahan, Fiji, Graf Spee, Duca, Budyonny). [EUSKA] Komaaz [EUSKA] Beta Tester 1,383 posts Report post #9 Posted May 30, 2017 Hello, A quick view to my reserve: 19 Pts - Essex going to Midway when finished. - Fletcher - Benson 18 Pts - Gearing - Lo Yang - Atlanta shared with Cleveland - Bismarck shared with Scharnhorst/Tirpitz - Fiji After that I've some captains around 15/16/17 grinding for their last Skill : Minautor - Belfast - Yugumo Rest is somewhere around 10-15. Through heavy use of Dragon Flags I was able to enlighten my T 10 Zao captain to 16 very recently - but he is by far my most experienced guy - as it should be on a T10 - the most experience others are .......10-13 max., I think. The only exception being the French cruiser and my CVs ( which i rarely play anyways). I forgot to add the number of captains i have in my first post, so here it is. Sofar, i have 10 Captains with 19 skill points, 18 Captains which are in the 16-18 points range and a lot of 10 - 15 point captains. The rest of my 196 ships has 3 - 9 points, with quite a number of 0 point captains clustering up my reserve. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I have a relatively small number of captains, only 13 total assigned to ships. I have relatively many premiums ship, so many captains have 2-3 ships to command. I do try to systematically pool EliteXP, dragon flags, special camos etc. to advance that next guy to 19 pts, because they are so useful as trainers which work for any ship (through elite xp). So I always went over when that ship had at least a 10 pointer. and started with a fresh captain on the new ship. I also misunderstood the rules for 19 pointers. Somehow I thought the "pool" was being filled like it is with free XP (a % of the total gained). So I thought it didn't matter that much anyway. When I found out the pool is filled 1 on 1 I changed my mind and grinded a 19 pointer to fill it up. My first goal is to make as much of my X's as possible to 19. Transferred my highest pointers there. The more 19's you have, the quicker my pool gets filled so I can "breed" more of them. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ive got 2 x 19 point IJN 1 x 19 point German 2 x 19 point USN 1 x 19 point British So 6 in all and too many to count at 17 or 18 points... That's it.. My IJN DD captain (Shimakaze) , My Soviet DD captain (Tashkent) and my RN Cruiser commander (Minotaur) are all at 19 points. Problem for the RN guy is I have him set for Belfast with the IFHE perk, so he is less than optimal for Minotaur. These have all benefited from a lot of time spent in battles in premium ships.
