Captains,

 

Please post all bugs using the following template here:


1. Description

Clear and substantial description containing all necessary details.
Example: the cruiser Aoba: scout is inoperable.

 
2. Reproduction steps

A sequence of the player's actions which triggered the bug.
Example: 1. Select the cruiser Aoba 2. Enter the battle (Training or Random Battle). 3. Try to launch the scout.

 
3. Result

In-game experience resulting from the bug.
Example: When you press the scout activation button, you can hear the sound, but nothing actually happens. The aircraft stands still on the catapult.

 
4. Expected result

In-game experience which should have occurred if no bug is present.
Example: The scout has to be launched by the catapult.

 
5. Technical details
Example: Bug time: about 19:30 (UTC).Replay (attempt at 01:00), python.log, DxDiag.

If you encounter this error, please zip your ~\crashes\ folder, upload it to any online file storage and add the link to your report.

1. Description
Incoming storm warning started playing random sounds (loud!!!) in a loop (coop battle)
 
2. Reproduction steps
one time bug so far, will update if it happens again

nope, so far not repeatable

dammit, just had it again

and now I had the sounds during the count down, right after loading, with no storm warning
 
3. Result
heart attack

Dammit, those sounds in an endless loop are annoying as eff if it starts at the beginning of a match

not to wake up my neighbours

1. Description
Sound for "killing" an enemy ship, is played back late.
 
2. Reproduction steps
I sink an enemy ship.
I get the flag for the "kill".

 
3. Result

Only after 2 seconds the sound for the sinking is played, followed by the voice confirmation.


4. Expected result
The sound for sinking, followed by voice confirmation, reproduced at the same time (or almost) at the sinking of the ship.

 

5. Technical details
Test in Low, High and Ultra Sound Quality.

Same Here Newport now has the Rescue the Raptor Operation Results.

A similar issue with me, but I got it even funnier - our division WON the Newport - and learned that we failed the Raptor. Well, probably we did, we were too busy defending Newport to go and rescue some carrier on another map :trollface:

Another unrelated problem that might or might not be a symptom of a more serious bug: for the PT mission

 

1. Description
Not all victories in Scenarios are counted for missions
 
2. Reproduction steps
Play a scenario, win
 
3. Result
The victory-counting mission sometimes does and sometimes doesn't get updated with +1 victory
 
4. Expected result
Every victory in Scenarios should add +1 to the victory counter in appropriate missions
 
5. Technical details
N/A

 

It could be a problem with the mission, in which case it's not very important. OR it might be a symptom of something bigger with the missions themselves.

Critical Error Occurred - Game Client Crash
2. Reproduction steps
Play a game in Division Scenario
3. Result
Just pushed a key to start a smokescreen in zoomed up view
4. Expected result
Obviously the Game Client should have not crashed

takes 2 hours to upload the crash file to google drive, so no can do

1. Description

When viewing detailed results from battle list scenario overlay screen shows a loss and zero stars when a victory with some stars.

2. Reproduction steps
Managing to win and then looking again at the detailed results.
 
3. Result
Overlay screen shows as a loss and zero stars, though some objectives are ticked. Normal results screen shows it as a victory. List of battles shows a victory with some stars. 
 
4. Expected result
Overlay screen to match other information and display a win with some stars.
 
5. Technical details

Edit: Just had Operation Killer Whale. Overlay screen immediately post-battle displayed correctly as a victory with two stars, matching the entry in the Battle list, but going back in to look at detailed results gave the same problem of the overlay then being shown as a loss and zero stars. Edited above to reflect that was when going back into the detailed results and that not Aegis specific.

Chat-text box clears when ESC pressed to exit it.
 
2. Reproduction steps
Typing something and then quitting the chat-box to regain control of your ship
 
3. Result
Started to type that I was beginning to feel sorry for the Furutaka that comes out from behind the island at the start of "Save Carrier Raptor", ESC from chat to steer, found the text had vanished like it used to do a patch or few ago.
 
4. Expected result
That the text would remain in the box to be added to.

Operation Aegis, the 3 bb that should spawn northern map border near and after the 2 cv did not trigger

no idea, it was our last attempt, as this bug helped us getting 5 stars

Operations, short break in the port, players could not set their status to "ready" to continue playing

selecting a different ship didn't work, relogging didn't help

I had set my status to "ready" pretty quickly, but took it back after a few minutes, and was unable to re-apply it; other players had the same problem (with and without having been "ready" before)
 
2. Reproduction steps
the other players said it had happened the evening before, too

it was guessed that if the leader of a 7 man division goes afk for a few minutes, it might happen
 
3. Result
group disbanded, re-grouped, continued to play
 
4. Expected result
7* "ready" and battle

P.S.: If you go into an operation with less than 7 players, should the rest be filled up with solo players ? Because sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn't.

Oh, and sometimes you do see division tags, but most of the time you don't. Also, dynamic divisioning doesn't work ?!

1. Description
Tried this with several ships. I die, then press SHIFT on keyboard, following game in free mode.

When see all ships from behind as image attached, camera suddently turns 180 degrees.

I'll try again and same thing happens, it can't stay where it is.

Allways happens in free camera mode.

Using mouse to look around.
 
4. Expected result
I should have been able to follow the rest of the game from an angle where I feel that the fight is best.

1. Description
Unable to start new battle after finishing a PvE mission. (Was a few days ago, so might remember wrong, but the game might be asking me to select a suitable ship, and therefor not letting me select ready in my division and starting a new battle).
 
2. Reproduction steps
1. Played a PvE scenario (weekly, carrier escort) in division with 1 friend.

2. We lost, and got into a new game, again same PvE weekly, carrier escort mission. It worked fine this time, but we lost again.

3. Get back into the main menu, select a new ship, but neither of us were able to select ready in the division menu.

4. Try another ship, still not able to select ready (both me and my friend).

5. Spend 20 dubloons to open same ship as last battle, but still not able to select ready with that ship.

6. Restart the game, still not able to select ready.

7. (I think we also tried switching to random battle and was still not able to select ready, but it was a few days ago, so I might remember this step incorrectly).

8. Go into the PvE mission menu and select a different mission and then back to what I think was the weekly mission and carrier escort again (I think I selected the weekly mission again (did it suddenly change? did this cause the bug?)).

9. Now we were able to select ready, and we started the mission. As I said, I thought I selected the weekly mission but we ended up playing a different scenario, the base defense, not carrier escort.
 
3. Result
When you finish a game, you come back to the main menu, but you are unable to start a new battle. Changing ships, spending dubloons to open last ship used, restarting game, nothing worked.
 
4. Expected result
You should be able to start a new battle once you are done with your last one, and you have another ship (or opened current ship with dubloons) ready to go.

1. Description
We were a group that ran through all the PvE Scenarious during the weekend.

Game only counted XP for our last attempt on the Aegis map, and it also did not show us as a division for all but the last run.

 
2. Reproduction steps
Join everyone up to a 7 man division. Start scenarios.
 
3. Result
First 4 scenarios did not show us in a division, no XP counted for any combat missions.
 
4. Expected result
All PvE scenarios should count XP properly, as well as enable divisions properly.
 
5. Technical details
Sorry, this is a bit light on the technical side, since we did everything the same on the fifth run, and it worked fine then. I assume a temporary issue, since we couldn't enter a new Scenario with any ship either.

Unable to invite more then 2 people directly from friends list to scenario division.

(invites from actual division panel works as usual)

 
2. Reproduction steps
Set game mode to Scenarios.

Invite 2 people to division directly from + on friendslist.

Try to invite further people from friendslist. (no + shown)

Go to division panel, click invite, then friends. ( works)

 

3. Result
+ on friendslist for division invite is not show.
 
4. Expected result
When in scenario mode, + on friends in friendslist should be shown for up to 6 persons.

Played in Division Newport Operation... 31.05.2017 start time 21.56...  No Mission updates at the end even though it was a 5 star victory... no xp added or number of victories added...????

Accidentally hit an enemy bot in PvE with torps launched almost 30 seconds earlier (he sailed in from very far). Got pink for next 7 games. 6 PvE games later and not doing any damage to friendlies whatsoever, I am still pink for next 7 matches. Seems like a bug to me...

 

Next I played 1 Random game and teamkiller status was removed.....

Happens quite a few times (feel free to look at the stream videos)

Surprise when all of a sudden enemy ship appears withing torpedo range( cruiser) or DD just appears 3.1 KM behind you.
 
4. Expected result
For the ingame spotting mechanic to be at work and not over ridden by the re spawn mechanic.... either respawn at max detection range or come in from maps edge.
