This week the missions look like to be doable for most ships...

2 weeks in a row with sensible requirements.... how cool is that

Stages 1 through 3 are easily doable, that's right. Stage 4 works with any high tier soviet DD. But stage 5...well...i don't get 2500 base xp on a regular basis...

4 and 5 are not that easy...

Stage 4 can be done in most He spamming cruisers as well. Stage 5 is a bit harder but not impossible.

Unless you have a Khaba

Unless you have a particular tier 10 Soviet-biased ship which needs a lot of nerfs or to be reclassified as a CL? Yes, that s what I said.

Stage 4: Atlanta, Cleveland, Budyonny (basically every RU cruiser from T6+), Mogami, ...

Stage 5: Would be the Sims for me (glorious XP modifier)

stage 4 was done easily with Kutuzov, but still trying the 5th... but i think that's the concept, not to be easily doable at the later stages

Stage 5 seems tough are simply seldom up on these values, it is a vast difference for a average but experienced player like myself to reach 2500 instead of 2000 Base XP. The number of  battles over 2500 is not many.

One need also a team that wins but not steamroll the other team and preferably that both teams have rather poor players so that one has the time to build up damage and caps. You do not want Flamu in your team or the other team.

This is no whining  - just stating the fact - I know and have no problem with that stage 5 is difficult. I usually concentrates on getting the 4 first in the weekly missions - last weeks stage 5 was easy - probably chosen so that a majority of the dedicated players should do it.

The other weeks I am pleased if I make 1 in 8-10. I play if I pull it off it is good - otherwise so be it.

I have rather few high tier ships that I can perform good enough in. I have f.e. not yet performed a kraken in T10.

By all means if I would play only T10 games the chances would of course be higher but it is not the funniest META to play and the rewards are not good enough to change my ship choices.

Basically a domination game, where the enemy holds most of the caps, but isn't able to kill your team, while your team is either unable or not in a position to hurt the enemy. On top of that you're in a perfect spot to kill enemies and recap bases.

Does Sims' XP modifier count as "base XP"?

I used Sims several times in the Otranto mission, and it wasn't any better at hitting the base XP target than any other comparable DD.

Yes it does.

You see every ship in this game has it's own XP and credit modifier. It's been used by the devs to balance the economy. While we don't know the exact numbers, we do know that every once in a while those modifers get adjusted and this is (or at leas was in the past) announced in the patch notes.

So if e.g. in one battle all you do is cap, the game recognizes this:

(Action of capping) * (Ships XP modifier) = Base XP

This is the XP shown in the post battle result screen in the team tab. Any signals or camos you may've mounted, any premiumtime or 'First win of the day' bonuses are applied after that

(Base XP) * (economical modifiers) = Total XP

That's usually the big XP number on the first page of the battle result screen.

How do we know the Sims has one of the highest (if not the highest) modifier in the game? Observation: During ranked battles it was a safe bet to use the Sims if you didn't want to loose a star. Because one cap and you'd be pretty much the top XP earner on your team. Same goes for random battles. If I play a decent battle in her, it's much easier to get those sweet high XP numbers than in any other (comparable) ship.

Yes, defending bases can bring up good Xps also, that can stack up over 10 some games

Regarding the 2500 XP, it is a quite big hurdle. Here are a few good games from this evening but none is even close to 2.5k.

The problem is you need to play well but your team needs to suck AND you need to win as well ontop of that.

As if you steamroll them no one is going to earn much...

I've stopped thinking about the missions at all, trying to go for the final mission always ruin my mojo and consequently my beloved WR.

I only pop in for a few games a week nowadays anyway so I just play for fun :P

Yeah I got a Confederate and Double Strike in Izumo and that only netted me about 1500 base xp with a win and 105k damage. Good thing about base xp objectives though is you can just play your best and it will either happen or not, no need to think about it.

Got a 2500 base XP game in the Mogami right after the mission went live. Of course, now I won't get another til it's over. I really don't mind the general difficulty level, but to have to do them in a predetermined order is just... fun and engaging... again...

Oh yes...

The amount of times I've got Kraken before the 5th mission of these stupid tasks.
