I do not want any May Day socialism on my ships, and have never asked for anything of the sorts. How can I get rid of this flag?

Great, wrong spelling in the headline.... Can I change that or do a mod need to do it?

Just don't fly it?...

As long as you don't put it on one of your ships you don't have it on one of your ships.

You could alternatively visit my home town of Helsinki, Finland on May Day. It might change your outlook on the event. It's basically the biggest booze fest you'll find on this planet -- hasn't had much to do with socialism since the 1970s.

Well ... in most places in my country yesterday evening mostly looked like this:

Guess each country celebrates this holliday "differently".

You might want to chill out a little bit (that goes for your world views as well).

Especially since in order to actually have the flag on a ship, you would have had to manually put it on yourself.

1. Worker's rights have nothing to do with socialism. That's why it's called labor day, and not socialist propaganda day.

2. Edited

3. Edited

4. There is no right not to be offended. For example, your avatar depicting "The British Navy" is greatly offensive to me since I despise navies that historically sucked a lot. But I can't have your avatar blocked...Why? Because there is no right not to be offended.

5. I give up.

6. You're British, aren't you?

7. I positively give up...

So getting Worker's Day flag bothers you, but getting the very socialist Graf Spee with very socialist ensign on her doesn't? I don't remember you moaning about it.

Sorry but this is totally not true, and stems from the same mistake the OP makes, which is the (faulty of course) equivocation of socialism with communism (probably influenced by US Editedorics, or the equivocation of socialism with strict non-market socialism.

Socialism in the broadest sense is nothing else than trying to adjust society so the goods (wealth, health, etc) of that society don't all amass with certain select individuals, but also benefit the society (see this word?) as a whole, which first of all (end of 19th century & later) became a reason to care for the vast majority of the society, i.e. workers.

Every "social right" you can think of originally stems from there, be it the right to vote, the right not to be fired for no reason at all, the right to be payed (!), the right to have your children not having to work in coal mines etc.

If the OP is so vehement about his "antisocialism" he should go work in a sweatshop in Vietnam, together with his children.

Even the US is for a big part "socialist", it has taxes that go into transportation, education, welfare, etc.

People who are so anti all this, should be aware they are being manipulated by some very select people who would win by removing a lot of these measures, and I'm quite sure non of the users of this forum or playerbase would be one of them.

(anticipating a possible Edited: I'm not a "lefty" myself, even though for US/OP standards I'd probably be something like Stalin's nephew)

I am aware of this, of course. I was just trying to insult the man. It was rude of you to interrupt.
