Yes, what about a tldw? (too long, didn't watch)

A lot of it is just talking about policy (first 20 or so minutes) which is basically stuff we already knew:

*How they approach balancing

  - A little bit about overpowered ships, talking about Khaba, Zao

  - Saying that while there is no rule they won't nerf premium ship only remove them from store

  - How they collect data on balance= Statistics, feedback from players and feedback from testers

  - No policy stopping T10 premiums but not something that is considered at the moment.

Also:

* Zoup talking about Dasha (learning english, her skill in the game)

* Zoup talking about Sub_Oct (how long he's worked, fav ships, what he does, talk about previous encounters between the two)

At 26 minutes they go into troubles with MM.

I gave up at this point, seems to be a lot of fluff and talking around topics making the interview much longer than it should be.

There is a very detailed breakdown of the content even down to the questions asked in the video description if you click through to YouTube (bottom right of the video pane, click on the logo).

As for posting more than just a link, tbh, I didn't feel there was much to add with the clarity of the title.

If you wanted my opinion, it's a good interview and another promising demonstration from WG via Sub_Octavian of engaging the playerbase through contributors which is very much appreciated.

I'm not sure if my brain is ready for another dose of
"Erm, hm, yea, we are monitoring the situation."
And
"Erm, hm, yea, I never tried this, but it seems fine to me."

etc.
But, lets give it a try...

Most important thing I think was all the info about standard battles!

- That there is quite a large amount of players out there that likes standard (iirc WG said quite some time ago that this was the RU server)

- That the devs (or people within WG) mostly don't enjoy Standard

- Standard battle works better if the bases are close together

- some maps will be tweaked to loose standard battle but it won't be move entirely since the devs then expect a crapstorm greater than with RPF

Greetings

its my favourite game mode. Why? Because it usualy doesnt end too fast. Standard battle ends when one team has 0 ships or one team cap base. When cap happends its mostly when just few enemies remain somewhere on oposite side of the map. All standard battles are better than dominations finished in 8minutes.

If nobody finds ist W key safe a few DDs that die battling one another. If you leave the enemy all objectives you better be dam sure you can get even the Point gain by deleting the enemy Team if not well they deserve to win in 8 mins your fault leting them cap all unopoded.

Back to the vid ist basically dont says anthing new becasue Sub dont want to spoil anything new he didnt allready posted 20 times before if you read the something intersting from RU Topic.

Which can be ok. I don't mind battles that are 20 min of intense batteling around one cap (don't matter if standard or domination), but most (high tier) standard battles I encountered so far usually result in a 15 min campfest, where both (!) parties just sit in spawn and try to snipe each other. And that's boring af. Than I'd rather have 10 8-Minute domination battles instead of boring camping standard battles.

Standard is good for farming missions as potatoes never play to cap which gives more opportunity for kills etc

Altho the best commonly viable tactic is to mass camp base so everyone gets focus fire...

Same sentiment here. I think Flamu personally did fine in the previous interview, and I understand there is only so much he could do with the level of "cooperation" he got. But at the same time, at the end of the video I only had a few laughs but got non the wiser.

hh, so when I like standard battles Im automaticaly loosing dominations because im camper who dont care about caps? Great deduction Sherlock :teethhappy:

when you dont like camping, then pick ship which is good in solo play and doesnt need team support to shine. Then you can leave your team camping and do whatever you want.

I like standard battles as if the game goes uneven in ships you still got the chance if a few ships are very good at defending while a single DD can Cap opposite base, if it is domination and you are down in ships it is far more difficult to turn around especially if your ships with high Alpha strike has gone, and the points just ticking in for the leading side to landslide victory,  so I like it pretty much when there is a say 1:3 ratio of standard vs domination, it gives various opportunities to the side that is down on points/ships.

As I like variation I will not want to see a perfectly acceptable gamemode disappear. I have reach 10000+ games so I want as many maps or game modes as possible.

No cv or battleboat meta talk, not impressed.

On a positive note, they did manage to sort out their mic settings compared to the previous interview, so no ears bleeding this time. Yay?

Well... but doing so it often results in a loss, since carrying a team that doesn't know teamplay is ... hard. Of course there are other standard battles and (esp. as a DD) the longer you survive in a DD or stealthy cruiser, the higher are your chances of winning.

I simply play for a win and thats easier in Domination. In Standard I have to have the right ship on the right map with the right (passive) team.

If I enter a battle on the premise to solo play (basically a 1 v 23), then why play a MMO in the first place?

Greetings

Guess that is because the silent majority of players simply do not see the high number of battleships as a problem at all.
