[edited]this completely luckbased mission, through such a dumb event we'll have 5+ destroyers each game not only [edited]up game balance but also this mission is basically just luck. at high tier u'll have stupid german ships basically permanently hydroing evervything all over the place making hitting people based on how stupid and unaware they are.

Can somebody explain to me what the point of the missions in WoWs are? to appease less than 10% of the playerbase who are even capable of doing them? Last I checked the game wasn't paid by the top10% of the playerbase.

Even if I ever hit 10 torps I'll have craplike a midway eagle-flying her stupid planes over me for the entire game until I get blasted away and then I'll end up 4th place. At least just make us hit 10 torps which is hard enough for anything not japanese.

Actually japanese have long torp reloads and easily spottable torps so it's harder :P

Still the mission is crap and basically just RNG.

Yes this mission is stupid, as you can win games with DDs by landing far less torp hits. A few in the right place and capping/spotting is enough.

Plus needing to survive is a big FU to everyone else.

If i got 10 torp hits I'm sailing straight into a corner...

I must disagree here. It requires luck, yes, but it's dependence on RNG if very small - torps are much less affected by RNG than shells and what you need is just torp hits, not floodings.

So while it's not a very good mission, it's not an RNG one.

And it's infinitely better than "sink X cruisers of Y nation" kind. Or "get Z amount of flooding damage".

"Mission X is worse therefore Mission Y doesn't suck so much".

It feels like no gamedesigner made this mission, how could they not have thought about making the game a DD-cancerfest by luring us into playing this mission? BBs camp at the start of their map and often just drive off somewhere right now and I can't even blame them, I wouldn't even bother trying to cap right now before the DDs didn't eat each other alive.

It is as luck based as any other of the missions.

You're not landing 10 hits on other DDs for instance, it needs some brain dead BBs who are not going to die to others and also not lose too fast so the game ends...

The mission would be a piece of cake if ship death had a 1 second delay for purpose of registering torp and shell hits (so that additional torps don't count as misses). More than a couple times I've had dense torp salvos hit a BB with 5+ fishes... with only 2 first registering due to target's remaining hp and my torps' damage.

I feel like trying this at t9 with a fletcher is pointless and that I should just get a t6 german destroyer.

I did 12 torps and died.... Max torps hits and survive was 7.

I quit.

I finished the mission with my Shima.....you should feel bad about yourself and its to 1% not top 10.The missions used to be considerably harder where even the best players had difficulty finishing them.

I would say the best ship to try this in is probably a Shinonome, because of 9 torps fast reload and it's easier at low tier where there are more dumb people sailing into your torps. I might try for it a couple of times today but I don't care that much. For me the best reward (1 mil) I already got at 4/5.

Anybody remember the "ram a ship and survive the battle" mission?

As Negativvv already pointed out: Any decent DD player that has hit 10 torps in a single battle has already carried the battle hard on his very own as it usually requires a lot less torp hits to carry a battle in a DD.

I completed the final stage requirements earlier on in the mission in the Fletcher.

Since then I haven't hit the torps required. Go figure! :teethhappy:

So the people here who did this mission are part of the less than 1% top playerbase which brings me back to the point:

Why does WG even give so much of a crapabout the top 1%. This isn't league of legends, there's no huge tournaments for this game, the game is paid for by everybody and should be made for everybody and not just the 1%ers

It's not about the top 1% of the playerbase. It's about having the right ship, a good game and a bit of luck. There are many missions I haven't succeeded, this one I did. You shouldn't expect to accomplish 5/5 tasks. Change your perception instead of complaining.

8 Torp hits in Benson, 166k and Witherer. Not enough :teethhappy:

Technically that's more impressive than the actual mission requirements...

I would like to thank the opposing team for potatoing ultra-hard in the first minutes of the game, 6 torp hits in my first 2 volleys. I never imagined I'd complete this one on my Fubuki I just started grinding on - with a 6pt captain :D

Raked in the Bane of the Oceans aswell, ain't even mad for losing.

Certainly terribly difficult mission to do the last stage. I've tried Shiratsuyu, Akatsuki, Mahan and Benson... no way. 5DDs per game all the time, constant carriers in my games (who said carriers are not played?).Teams during the weekend didn't help.

From 0 to 8 hits. 10? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA you mad bro!
