the rear turret mechanic on especially BB are stupid im looking dead forward and the rear turrets are turning one way or another, its not too bad on destroyers but when some BB have nearly a minute to turn the guns from one side to another this is game breaking real warships didn't start rotating there turrets until a enemy was sighted im busy looking where im going, looking at the map, checking ammo type loaded, too be also checking where the rear turrets have decided to herp a derp off to and when British BB and German pocket battleships are introduced if those turrets have gone the wrong way to where the enemy is well you just lost half your fire power.

Not too bad on destroyers? :teethhappy:

in japanese ones guns take more than 40 secs to turn soo...

But yeah, there was a lot of people even back in the alpha asking for a lock turret mechanic, precisely to prevent that :great:

Have to agree with that, it's annoying when turrets go herpaderp and then it takes ages to turn them, that mechanic to lock turets would be nice.

You can hold down the right mouse button to look around without your turrets following.

You can press Ctrl + X to lock your turrets on a certain bearing from your ship

You can press Shift + X to lock you turrets on a certain point on the map.

right click will make turrets turn towards where you were last aimed and keep them there, so useless in terms of being an effective lock

ctrl+x will lock them to look at a certain side, not make them stay still, again useless...

Shift+x will lock them again at one point, even more useless....

What people asks is a method to lock turrets at their first positions where front ones looking forwards and rear ones looking backwards...

Just keep them aimed on the side you'll be engaging.

If enemy is ahead of you make it so they're not.
