I recently started playing the game and im doing horribly in it. WoT is something i have played nearly 30k games but it doesn't seems to help much here. I sucked [edited]in WOT for over 10k games and don't want to suck in this game that long. Im hoping someone with adequate english skill could help me out a bit.  We can communicate through TS if you have one or use the ingame voice chat. I've only gotten as far as tier 4. My ships are cruisers and destroyers mainly at tier 3. I tried out the battleships but those were way too slow for me. I understand the basics of the game (spotted range and the gun range, leading targes etc) so i don't need hand helding in terms of how to shoot or lead a target. I would appreciate the help with locations and map awareness, generally helping me how to and where to play cruisers for instance.

I must warn you i've played like less than 50 games online with less than 40 win% and perhaps 150 against bots with 98 win %. BTW i pawn bots like a boss.

If you are up for it and feel like helping hit me up ingame. Voice chat would be massive bonus as i might have some questions along the way.

My best advice would be to join a clan. You can find them here, or just put out a request, here:

http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/forum/507-clan-zone/

Personally, on principle I wouldn't join any clan that would have me.

I don't think im clan material just yeat so there's that. By playing with better players than me i've learned a few things in world of tanks. I do strongly believe that doing so here will get me up to speed too.

unless there is a clan like SGTA aka The specialist Global tank academy that used to help loads of noobs in world of tanks untill they stoped doing it. I ques it took too much time in the end.

Ignore what this thread descends into, the information supplied about the channel might help. People are friendly and will offer to help if asked. Population of the channel goes up and down so just keep joining.

I think you are being too hard on yourself OP. Before I headed to Randoms played more less 300 battles in co-op and for the first 1000 randoms had WR not better then 55.

Give yourself some time more, read couple guides, watch youtubers. Personally I'd head to Notser, he is patient and explains lot of things. Watch some of the streams.

And don't refer to yourself as a 'noob'. Anyone who wants to improve, but is new to the game, is 'newbie' in my dictionary.

You can catch me in game, but lowest I play is T5.

Thank you for the input guys. I've watched plenty of "academy" videos online because i din't want to suck [edited]and be a burden to my team. Wen't through the wiki as well but it ain't so easy.  and perhaps in low tiers there is no clear meta how to play and people just bounce around in random directions without any plan.

Still the games i play i lose 60% of the time, meaning im not pulling my weight. At the moment i must be worst than a bot since i get lower winrate than a bot. Meaning i do more harm than good to my teammates. How is it possible for a bot who is allways stationary to win more than i do? Im not shooting my allies every single game. I've done it few times by accident and informed them about the incoming misfired barage of torps but they didn't see it. At the moment the game is supper frustrating because i expect to do better than this.

As in WoT, tier 1-3 are just utter chaos. From tier 4 and onwards you can slowly start to talk about some sort of cohesion. Do Co-Op games and practice aiming/leading at different ranges, then go back to regular randoms. Like WoT, remember to angle your ships inbetween shots. Angle, fire, angle. Manage fire well. Don't use the Damage Control Party if you only have one fire, let it burn out (unless you're really low on health and that would end you).

Play4fun

If that was a joke then lmao at me.

Do not worry about sucking while being new, you will be well hidden among the potatoes.

That said, it`s just a game and if people did not have potatoes to rage at it would be boring to read forums.

Not all clans are competetive minded, some are just there to help players have fun playing WoWS.

You can add me as contact if you like. For selfish reasons I'd like as many good players in WoWS as possible:tea_cap:

p.S. I mostly play cruisers myself and destroyers.

My best advice would be to join a clan.

sry i find that to be bad advice

90% of all clans  are just full of opeople who are fond of themseleves and nothing more.

i gurantee you he will get  tons of bad advice n'stuf that way.

asking for help on the forums is the right way cause you always get diffrent opinions and with a bit of brain and later experiance you usually can figure /puzzle together the best advice

Just the fact that you wan't to learn and improve at the game makes you already much better than most players these days. You will not be the noob for long. Just don't get caught in the "BB's should be best at everything" trap. :) Good luck

You learn to shoot and angle.

you dont!

cause you never learn to predict movement of real players.

Majority of "real players" are straight line sailing potatoes. In Co-Op you learn the characteristics of your guns, your armor and also weak spots of enemy ships without getting severely punished for playing around trying things out. Bots are better at dodging torpedoes than real players and when they focus you, they point their bow straight at you. Something what potatoes don't excel at. I have around 1000 games in Co-Op because it's great way to learn how your armor and guns work and it's useful playground for trying out different builds before hitting in the vast sea of potatoes. Yes, you don't learn the tactics nor positioning, but you learn the basic fundamentals of your ship, which is imho the first and most important step for people who wish to stop sucking at this game. But hey, that's just me and maybe I got it all wrong.
