But they are deleted after the ranked season is over. NA got some (read: at least one) flags which give different boni. Other players might have more information about that. Silly BB drivers thought best way to counter a tier 5 DD with 12 short range Torpedos Tubes was to go Bow on and CHARGE... We can only mount one flag at a time and the last time I ever noticed a flag on anyones ship (because I couldn't care less) was a long long long time ago. If you have earned the flag, they stay in your inventory forever, and if you mount them on your ship, they stay there forever (until you swap them out for another flag, after which they go back to your inventory). NA Players had Access to a flag that adds bonuses to XP and either Commander Xp or Credits (5% each). Reason being NA. Sadly, the EU Team couldn't be arsed - or wasn't allowed - to give us EU non-ST/ non-CC/ non-Alpha Plebs the opportunity to get a flag that offers the same bonuses. Reason being EU.
