I wouldn't read too much into the art (unless the picture of Saipan also accurately depicted one of her loadouts? I don't remember tbh).

90 planes is ridiculous, though. Not even Taiho has that. I bet she'll get lower tier planes across the board to balance it out.

No Torps but 1760 lb AP Bombs for the Kates. Plus perhaps can only shot down by Dp guns or fighters due to high alt flying.

No, fighter squads are always put in the rear. You can check it in any CV in the game.

He's right about the sizes though, it really looks like the ones in the back are Vals and the 8 in the front are Zeroes. Also by the wing shape...

Guys are you serious? It is completely clear from the picture that first planes are Zeros second are Kates (B5N2) and last are Vals (D3A1).
At the picture the take off plane is Zero (probably A6M2 model 21) with additional fuel tank. Zero is smaller then Kate and Val.

 

 

Second are Kates because of the size and green color and last are Vals because it has fixed landing gear with red marks on it.

In my mind that kinda makes her unappealing as she'll be prone to get shut down by her contemporaries all day.

If you want to analyze the loadout, you need to look at the screenshot, not the render.

I also think that she will get t6 planes in squadrons with more planes (exact opposite than Saipan with high tier planes in squadrons with lower number of planes).

It will be interesting against ships with low AA (as DD) because of bigger number of torpedoes and bombs, but the squadrons will by very fragile against ship with high AA.

Can't wait to see the fighters melt as soon as they come near enemy bombers.... I seriously hope the CV rework is comming soon.

 

Also kind of dissapointed that this probably means that there wont be an alternative line and we might not see Akagi if Kaga is tier 7.
