250.000 gold for 19 capt reset / new boat

i have a 19 captain that i done wrong boat with, i want to change it back to another boat, then it says i need 250.000 gold for reset / change boat. 

is it time related? can i change it back later? or am i stuck with the boat, shimakaze for the moment.

nah that's just the XP you need to earn to retrain your captain.

It's not doublons (gold) - it's XP.

And you can insta-halve it for 200k credits (silver).

 

And skill reset is another thing entirely...

Just select the ship you want him to be in and you have the option to transfer a captain from another ship. If the new ship is not a premium ship you will have to retrain him. A 19 skill captain will take 250000 exp to fully retrain - you can reduce that by half with credits, or fully train him immediately with doubloons. While he is not fully trained on the ship some of his skills will not work and others will have a reduced effect.

First: That's not gold, that's the amount of captain XP you need in order to retrain it. You can boost that by half for 200.000 credits, or you can pay 500 doubloons (gold) to instant retrain the captain.

 

Second: Why on the seven seas would you want that captain on the tier I Hashidate!?!?

When I see the depressing amount of BB captains using Survivability Expert (the skill for more health) on tier 9 and 10 Battleships...

 

I don't know, it's not like it is already hard to give up on some skills when I do a build for battleship, and there are idiots that pick the most useless tier 3 skill for a BB...

I fully agree with you mate. It´s always like this. People ask a question. Get mocked on by some selfproclaimed kings. That guy showed that as an EXAMPLE. But of course such good players can´t understand that. They are way much better than us deadly This forum is "owned" by some few "elite" players. I play for fun. Am a pretty ordinary player. My agreement was with WG not the tea leaf readers who think they can ride over our contract. It is nothing to do with them. Play the game as you want to and sod the statistics.

 

I don't think they are sound anyway and can change the wr on one by selecting another. Only by 1% but enough to take them with a pinch of salt anyway.

 

The guy asked a question and I don't see the relevance of his stats to his question nor the tier level he wants to change his Captain to.

 

If he's assigning inappropriate skills what's wrong with a bit of friendly advice instead of spite.

I agree with you Sir. No we can certainly not. We don´t live in a perfect world. There will always be real experts here. Of the kind who knows everything. Hell, they know more than God himself. And they will always pick on people just because THEY think that they are idiots. They can´t help it because they are such a big players so they just have to tell everyone how good they are And tell the ones who aren´t so good how stupid they are. How useless they are. It's quite possible. Checked out a players stats the other day as he was being rather salty in chat, and was most amazed at what I found. Apart from a small dabble in the German cruiser and DD lines, no more than 30 games I think, he had played no games under Tier 7. He'd bought himself a Tirpitz and Scharnhorst and then used the free XP to get himself some T8 to T10 BB's. It goes without saying that his Stats were appalling, even after over 1000 games in them he still has little clue how the game works.
