yesterday, while tidying my port but not paying attention to what I was clicking ... I accidentally managed to load into a T4 random game with my mothballed Isokaze ... that had no modules, a 9pt captain with no skills, no flags and no camo. 4 minutes into the game (I had been making coffee) I realized I was in a match but had had my engine and rudder shot out, couldnt get the turrets to rotate faster than a snail crawl, couldnt get the torps to reload  and so was the victim of a first blood having done so little damage it dropped my overall damage average by 24 points. (and we lost)

 

I had to go take a walk outside in the rain to calm down.

Why doesnt WG punish people who sabotage games.

If game is lost, and you survive with more than 90% health there should be some sort of punishment.

I'm 44% WR over the last 25 games. That might not sound bad but over the last 3 days games generally refuse to go my way. I've had a few carry games and 3 or maybe 4 high damage games but generally:

 

- I can't hit citadels in BBs

- my Russian dds won't set fires and when they do the enemy uses dcp and someone else sets him on fire

- dispersion seems to enjoy trolling me with persistent "everywhere but the ship" shots

- my team is often down 3 or 4 ships before I've got even a bit of damage

- enemy teams have often played very well and received compliments.

 

I know this is a perfectly reasonable run of mostly bad luck. I've not played badly or lost my judgement or aim. These things happen.

 

I will say however that I don't find mid tier Russian dds particularly "carry" ships. They need damage over time to be effective. Perhaps when I get access to longer torpedo ranges I'll have the ability to turn games around but for now I'll just keep plugging away.

Loss streaks happen, just set a limit on how many your prepared to take and call it a day once you hit that.  I used to try pushing through it but all that happened was I became more and more pissed off at my own performance trying to force a win and inevitably f*cking things up.

I appreciate the joke you are trying to make ... but that guy has 1500 games in PVP.

I am hopping from 10.1 back to 11 and 10 again for the past week can't change a thing too many are impatient or suicidal the first 5 minutes makes me wonder if they go back to their port and hop into another battle with another tier 7 and do the same and hope somehow the others do the work for it and turn it into a win so they just have to collect...

In randoms I had win streaks of 6-10 games in a row but in ranked it is more like win lose win lose etc.

I just took a quick look at the Kiev stats. Don't be scared no offense incoming.

 

I would say you play the Kiev to passive. You can do a lot more with her for the teameffort, which results in wins.

None taken. Look how few dd games I actually have - you have better stats in Kiev than me. My question would be what tells you I'm too passive? I still have way better damage than the average Kiev player. Also a lot of those games have been truly awful. But any advice is welcome obviously.

Well the 38% Winrate is not that good... The Average damage is higher than average, i still have no explaination why it is so low the average of the kiev, cause i think  you will only focus BB which is not hard in RU DD. Also the Average of 1 Ship per Game sunk also tells me that.

With the Accuarcy of 36% i would say you are near max Range of the Kiev.

 

Which results in passive Gameplay.

 

Can be wrong, but i think its pretty accurate.

 

You should play more aggresiv in the sense that you cover your team dd and in mid-late game go for the objectives caps for example. And youre primary targets in beginning is to help your team dd survive and kill enemy dd...
