XbodzioXplX Players 6,008 posts 7,043 battles Report post #3 Posted February 1, 2017 Yep, had the same thing yesterday. While I'm not unicum, that was awful. But I enjoyed it because I had a nice div mates and we laugh a lot. Like: - "Ohhh I couldn't kill that DD" - "Because you are noob hahaha" - "So watch how I will beach now lul" On monday I was watching Flamu's games on twitch. He took Mogami and Atlantas - he did crapy games, so he changed the class of the ships. So yes, everyone could derp.
The_Great_SCH Players 374 posts 3,672 battles Report post #4 Posted February 1, 2017 First of all, define a good player. Second, of course everyone has bad days and i'm not talking about the teams, but personal gameplay. Bought the Kamikaze (OP ship?) and died like an idiot 2 days ago in 3! games in a row. Yesterday had 1 game in it, got mah kraken. But i don't really consider myself a good player, but a decent one.

44smok Players 4,367 posts 16,858 battles Report post #6 Posted February 1, 2017 Depends what you mean by bad day. I have a bad day every now and then - usually ending up around 50% to 55% is a bad day for me.
[IRQ] AnotherDuck [IRQ] Players 2,930 posts 7,510 battles Report post #7 Posted February 1, 2017 My days are between 40% win rates and super unicum levels, so yes, everyone has bad days. Or bad weeks. Or even bad months. Bad streaks can be quite extended sometimes, to the point where you just think you should quit the game. Sometimes that's because of some RL stuff that has you unfocused, and sometimes it's because you're grinding a new line or a new ship you're not as comfortable with as with your usual ships, which leads to worse gameplay and choices.
Jester86 Beta Tester 163 posts 5,850 battles Report post #8 Posted February 1, 2017 It depends. You can still play out of your skin and lose 5 or more in a row and still be top of the team. Does that count as you having a bad day? Or just having a bad team?
mtm78 Alpha Tester 19,378 posts 6,105 battles Report post #9 Posted February 1, 2017 I Played like a noob yesterday , lost both and did not get a single kill. And stopped myself right there... Do good players ever have bad days? Two days ago I had 28% win rate for my session... and two of those wins were in division with someone who carried me ( well I came second in the team in one of those games but still ). RNGesus did not like me, and I was a bit titled I guess due to personal real life stuff. Playing for 'performance' when titled never works for me, I need to be able to concentrate/focus on the game if I want to perform decently. Strange thing was I had good/great WTR but lousy win rate, normally I dismiss WTR and pad myself on the back for doing my damage where it's needed to get a win, this time it looked I was just doing damage without thinking to much about the flow of the battle :/
[CLADS] lycea Players 152 posts 16,068 battles Report post #10 Posted February 1, 2017 Yesterdays winrate: 45% Overall winrate: 57% So yes, sometimes the matchmaker decides that today you will end up on the teams with the least braincells. Or RNG decides that today will be without citadel hits on perfect shots and decides your ship will detonate in a few games.
IceyJones Beta Tester 1,286 posts Report post #11 Posted February 1, 2017 ofc there are unfortunate games, every day.... but if i have a bad day or not depends 95% on the teams i get. can they be carried or not....... but my WTR (if that is really an indicator of performance, but we dont have anything else to compare performance) score is pretty much constant every day
[-OOF-] ollonborre Beta Tester 2,598 posts 12,758 battles Report post #12 Posted February 1, 2017 Lately my overall performance has just been bad, but that is mainly due to me. I have just done stupid mistakes and miscalculated a lot of the situations in certain ships, and in other ships I'm improving, so it certainly has its up and downs. Syrchalis Players 1,401 posts 3,820 battles Report post #14 Posted February 1, 2017 Part of what makes good players good is their consistency to pull off their plays. If we go by "best game ever played" we probably get a wild mix of very good and even rather bad players. But if we look for averages the good players will stand out. However, WoWs involves a lot of randomness, so there is days you're just really unlucky. Combine that with a performance at the lower end of your personal scale and you can get a bad day, even as consistently good player. That said, even on bad days I feel like I'm not losing more than 50%.
[SCRUB] BadGene616 Beta Tester 773 posts 8,197 battles Report post #15 Posted February 1, 2017 Wr for purple is 60%. Even a great player accepts losing 3 or 4 from 10 is part of the game. Scale that up over many games your going to get streaks both ways. As someone said about, clear out your RL distractions and stress, relax, pick a ship you love, play for the fun and to play well, the wins will follow. And if not, talk a walk, take a break, spend some time with your friends.

Do good players ever have bad days? My friend you answered yourself right there. You are a good player ;) PS: Sometimes the game just trolls you (looking at MM), decreasing your chances of winning even before you actually fire your engines. [SCRUB] ApesTogetherStronK [SCRUB] Players 1,074 posts Report post #21 Posted February 1, 2017 We all get bad streaks. Last Ranked season I lost about 20 games in a row but scored MVP/2nd MVP in all but two of them. The randomness involved in team selections can just be nasty, nasty, nasty. Although your personal performance also differs depending on your mood and of course, level of drunkenness.

Syrchalis Players 1,401 posts 3,820 battles Report post #25 Posted February 1, 2017 Do bad players ever have good days? Asking the real questions. No, but seriously. We all know just HOW MANY 40-45% winrate potatoes are out there. How are they enjoying the game? Does the reward portion of their brain not function properly or is winning/losing so irrelevant to them and they just have a crooked smile over their face when they see WW2 ships? Do they live in denial? Sorry, that was a rhetorical question. I can't see how anyone enjoys 40% winrate if they are not denying their losses.
