Clan Tag Pro and Cons.

Ay Ay Captains!

I have a suggestion for making the game a little more pleasant for everyone.

It should be possible, and maybe it allready is...?? , to switch off you clan Tag if you like to do so.

This should not mean you need to remove yourself from a clan but it should be your own choice, especially during solo gameplay.

What happens during a match is that People become priority targets for the opposition. Allthow it is true that many Clan players have good skills, many many more players are in a Clan for fun and a get together.

Having a Clan Tag doesnt necessary mean that that Player is an ACE. In order to even out the Odds it should be possible to turn off the Tag while preserving your name. BTW I am one of them, and id like to have a fair change. During Clan gameplay its obvious you wear your FLAG. Thanks for your eyes and thoughts..

Sapper.

In all honesty I can't say I've noticed any difference since joining a clan. Are you basing your assumption on the fact that you prioritise clan members in a battle or is it that you feel you are being prioritised?

Edited to add: In fact I am often the last person alive on my team due to my tactic of sniping in German BBs from tile K11 :hiding:

It happens at beta, when clans was tested.

Now there are many clans with so much potatoes that this don't means anything.

What I dislike is that clan tag is before player's name and the width of players name is so small that many times I can't read that nick.

Of course people prioritize famous clan members to take the threat out. Also to add a little bit more, make the swith available so when a 3-men division enters a T4 battle not to scare the opposition. :hiding:

Well, it depends. Get yourself an OMNI-tag and you'll receive more attention, become a SCRUB and you will largely be ignored

Captains;

I have noticed a hire interested in my well beeing in the game, and i do feel that people tend to play

less like a team when a TAG player is in play. I wanna stress that its a choice and you do not have to remove it at all.

We Could solve this by letting the opponent only be able to see the names, no Tags or divisions. But some like to show their colors, and they have rights too.

The individual choice of representation should be his choice simple, with our without the Tag, and for the teamleader of the division: With or without the LETTER.

If you hide your Letter nobody else can join your division ingame.

This takes nothing away from anybody and improves the funfactor for the individual.

My Two Cents.

Sap.

I am a bit slow, I never thought about making a Clan Tag player a priority target. But I do now. :izmena:

I concur with this. Please ignore people with the SCRUB tag.

Pretty please.

And then what? WG please can you stop destroyers from torping my battleship? Just becaue i am in a battleship doesn't mean i am good in it and can dodge torpedoes.

People will shoot at you for all kind of reasons, and if they do focus you is because you made a mistake, OR they will make one by focusing so much on it. It's not them bringing your performance down by focusing fire.

I heard Flamu even created such a clan on SEA...not sure, tho.

It's only 10€...you'd prefer having everyone create a troll clan tag I suppose.

Scrub here, can confirm. Please ignore me, I'm an harmless potato.

Edit: Loran is the only decent player in the clen, the others are all noobs. You can maybe ignore him less.

Still, the option to disable the clan tag would be really useful, especially when you're making a division. Right now all you can see is the clan tag in the division box.

Don't be so scrubhurt, it's just gaem and jeko. The only scrub I know is Havaduck and I rarely ignore him (well, he's on a break anyway) :red_button:

edit: well inb4 vukked, so let me be at least a little bit constructive (not that I am able to).

So far I have not noticed this really. Though offcourse seeing a "OMNI" tag for example makes them a prime target to either focus or avoid. But then again, this happens just as often as just recognizing a name from the forums. Now clans are becoming more prevalent, I think it will be fine, since a lot of normal clans will arise.

Clan con? Make more room for player names in the team & battle summary screens!

Sometimes - because of the clan tag - only, like, 4 first characters of the nick are visible. :hiding:

Providing an option to turn things off does not  have anything to do with getting sunk, and not liking it. Its getting sunk for the right reasons. Without having to deal with suicide runs etc.

My Clan tag has nothing to do with WoW's, a few of us from our gaming clan wear our tags in whatever we play, the clan is mainly into Cod & Battlefield, we have our own servers for Cod4, World at War etc, but some of us got bored with the P2P servers the new cod games use meaning  that more hackers and cheats use the P2P servers, we have come here as we find it a more fulfilling game with out the crap that is now associated with cod games, so I wear my tags with pride :-)

Nice story about your having nothing to do with wows Clan Tag and the fact that you are a pride owner of that, what it does not do is add to this discussion. What i am asking is if in your opinion, removing the Clan Tag as an option, might benefit a level playing field.

I don't think so...I guess that barely anyone will focus guys who sport some random/unknown/pleb clan tag. Top tier divisions, yes - regardless of clan tag.

And those with big names should be able to deal with it or even exploit the attention/fear they provoke.

Actually I don't care, but then I'm not part of a clan since I was a raid leader once and fear responsibilities/work atomsphere in MMO games nowadays - and for casual division play I have my potato rl friends:P

My post was to show that not all clan tags are for high tier WoW clans, and not only that but, and I might be wrong, it costs you to change your name??
