Probably only AA that is not Russian, because everyone knows Mother Russia had superior stronk stalinium AA guns. Guess the whining helped? Idk why, not like they would be better as Gearing... they also said they are maybe looking at nerving Akizuki as it shoots down to many planes ( Akizuki was a darn purpose built AAA destroyer but it can't shoot down planes in this game... wow gg WG gg ). To be fair all IJN AA guns suffered from some crippling drawback(s) and the 10cm guns are no exceptions. True about IJN AAA, historically it was crap. This is visible in most tiers with IJN ships, but since this is a game it would be nice for Akizuki to offer something special ( especially when they want to kill the game by removing stealth firing entirely ). 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You mean WG is finally trying to balance CVs, unfortunately in small steps and over a long period of time, they still perform far too good and that since release. I wouldnt mind WG swinging the nerfhammer and bringing them into line with the other classes. Even if CVs are still overperforming, introducing monster AA ships is IMO not the way to do it. This would create an awkward meta where half the team is immune to air strikes and the other half is completely vulnerable. This DD is just ridiculous IMO, 61 plane kills against a Hakuryu (Flamu preview) in a destroyer is nonsense. IMO instead to balance CVs there should be some radical changes, like lowering damage-per-strike or adjusting the way they drop torpedoes. Introduce fuel for planes so they can't strike any target at will. Improve catapult fighter reaction time for ships, adjust AA mechanic so it does more constant damage instead of RNG or introduce HP pool for planes so they can't turn out of AA bubble and magically be at 100% hp again. WG should overhaul CV mechanics instead of just pumping out new ship lines with AA getting more ridiculous in each one. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

My point still stands anyway, IMO carrier gameplay should be completely changed and effectiveness should be toned down so that AA across ships can be toned down as well. KaraMon Players 4,154 posts 9,221 battles Report post #106 Posted February 22, 2017 Current situation of CV is something like "i drop atomic bomb and devastate target or do 0 damage and lose all planes" there is nothing in the middle . Why not increase number of squadrons? or for example allow same number in the air right now but simply reduce the damage by half , but allow carriers to atack faster, and let them do two times more strikes they can do now . Less dmg means no more oneshot kills , but more strikes available thanks to faster reload of planes and their speed will compensate for that . This way we can reduce AA on the ships so they would minimize damage not reduce it to 0 as it is now . Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
