What do you think about limited ammo and the gameplay coming with that?

While several update tries to tackle the problems with some of the 'problems' it doesn't solves anything but make things worse a little step at the time.

And watching and playing Wot i wonder why Wows doesn't have limited ammo?

No more spamming HE, no more Torpedoes spamming making balancing ships much more easy and you get no more overpowerful ships in one field which has to adressed again.

Yes i play Japanese/German DD but the changes of those ships is making my gameplay with them bad and after the update with the new skills .. yes seems i need to try to change a lot for my self.

 

Limited torpedoes stored magazine and already loaded ones (never understood while i had to load them just after an start of a game)

Limited shells for all ships (ofcourse players can modify which type and how many (like Wot) And Wows could make more money with premium ammo... notch, wink..

AA ammo (I think he could limited them too for the CV players) and secundairy ammo, this is something we have to think about:

   Limited means less shells for the Main guns and CV players would probaly have an limited Torpedoes and bombs. Or we keep them fictional for gameplay purpose.

One notification here CV players already have limited planes so we have this already for a part operational.

 

Also radio or signals devices means if you use radio RPF can find you (when in range AND no islands or big ships between them) and with signaling you have to be very close that you almost can see them anyway. Night battles anyone?

 

Now i already have things in the making: skills, devices, game-play ect. but befor i send it to the devs i would some comments one these? This means  no short crying No please fund your comments.

An buff to BB you say but the ammo could be modified which has much lower damage output. If you have Limites ammo you have to modify the shells also.

 

Or are you saying we need have limited ammo for the secundairies guns?

And I can't really see why implementing your idea would limit the number of torpedoes and bombs carried by CV's (belive it or not there is a lot of space for ammunition on a 270 meter long ship).

Yes, but also get rid of the magics repairs, make flooding and fires last way more time, make torps undetectable, nerf guns accuracy a lot, nerf AA, buff bombs dmg and torps dmg, enable to break modules for all the game (aiming systems) are you sure about wanting a realistic game?

Your proposal:

 

No more spamming HE, no more Torpedoes spamming

 

Which ships would benefit most from this?  Big heavily armoured ships spend their time sniping with AP instead?

 

Or are you suggesting a limit of 10 main battery shells for BB as well?

I would a realistic game but that isn't playable in 20 minutes. nerfing would be the limiting of Ammo it self but you give me something to think about.

So you want to introduce even more passive gameplay? Waste of time shooting against an angled/bow on ship, will probably miss most of the shells, so I'll save them for a broadside target. That target going behind/already behind an island, can't be sure I'll hit it so will save my shots. 

 

As for premium ammo, go back to WoT.......

 

One of the worst idea's I've ever seen on this forum.

Yes it seems BB would be of the hook but modifying ammo would take a lot of pain away and if radios are implemented BB wouldNOT have any target if they are outside range so sniping would be the env of that. (which have offcourse other problems for them)

 

 

And No premium ammo that is fine that wasn't no defintive item for me anyway

​In WWII yes they did.

 

Passive game play? I wish to have BB more agressive if they don't see anything they have to closein.

Warships (especially BBs) generally carry vast amounts of ammo, so I think limiting it to what the actual boat has/had would make little difference.

 

Torpedoes, on the other hand, are a different matter. I would be all for them carrying only what they had in actual real life. Make DDs return to base during the game to re-supply would be my choice.

 

I speak as one who plays DDs and Cruisers, and is in no way a BBaby

Would you mind posting a source? A quick google search by me wasn't successful in that regard. The Battle of Jutland certainly wasn't enough to make any ship run out of ammo if I'm not mistaken.

Also I couldn't figure out what you actually want to achieve by limiting ammo.

So, how would you compensate for this heavy loss of dpm and presence? How do you think the team will react if a DD just abandons them bc "out of torps" and stops screening the fleet/contesting caps? DD do more than just launching torps every 100 sec.

This was my idea first but most people see this as just a DD nerf. But i do like gun destroyers as they were more 'realistic' thanks for your comment.

Even the Błyskawica wich was notorious for it's low ammo storage carried something like 160 shells per gun, and good luck going through 1120 shells in 20 minutes (just over 13 minutes of constant fire). The only real implication of introducing limited ammunition would be the lack of torpedo's since even IJN destroyers had at most 1 full reload (visible on Yugumo).
