Trashkan gets better the more you play her. 

 

I don't actually think I've been sunk in her yet. As I stay at arms length, firing and dodging constantly. Problem is when you get closer you're easier to hit and if you haven't taken smoke you have no easy way out.

 

Can casually get BB levels of damage farmed this way. Only issue it's sometimes hard to force the game when you're just splashing HE rain from 14km.

 

The range buff, which I didnt see any mention of prior to the patch, definitely helps the Tashkent. Kind of reminds me of the old Khaba.

I enjoyed the Kiev before, and more now.

But! Am I alone in feeling gnevny is worse? Some stats were improved, but in real game (for me) it plays worse. Shells still want to visit Sputnik before landing on mother earth, Tirpitz is a ballet dancer compared to her, and torps still are for very bad noobs coming WAY too close without killing you. Smoke vanish fast too, so naah.

 

 

 

edit: did I mention the very slow turrets?

I sold everything underneath the reborn Kiev. I've got Gremy for mid tier gunboat fun or I can buy a Lenin if I want a strong T7 DD. All those mid tier DDs have slow turrets and trash torps.

 

Maybe I'm not giving them the attention they deserve but when you've got Kiev, Trashkan and Uldaloi why settle for less?

Well yes, Khab will come at some stage once enough potatoes have been sacrificed. The firepower that thing pumps out is mind blowing...

In 6.3, Grozovoi range will be buffed from 10,3 to 11 km

 

Still not much but a little better than before.

 

Don't forget about reload buff from 5 s to 4.2s . but still ship will be far away from being useful :p

I can't get anything out of the ognevoi. The torps are terrible, the guns, all 4 of them, they feel like the worst guns I've fired since tier 4. Her concealment is a trap because if you actually get that close to a ship you are very much in trouble, because she handles like a pig. Seriously some of the contradictions in this game are incredible. IJN dds get out run by german BBs, russian dds get out turned by well, almost everything. 

 

Ships have to have strengths and weaknesses to make them fun and interesting I get that (love the pensacola and have a good winrate in her as evidence). I just can't stand ships that have no impact even if you play them well. The Ognevoi is one of those ships.
