I like the reasoning for the justification for the damage increase "This makes Soviet destroyers more effective at fighting enemy destroyers, and a larger threat to cruisers" You mean they aren't already? :teethhappy: Even more things to worry about in my poor old Yugumo...

my only question is does having a ship elited make it elited once it is moved? for example if I have an elite Tashkent and Udaloi now, will I have an elite Tashkent and Udaloi after the patch?

Udaloi

  • If you researched Udaloi (tier IX) before the update has been released, then Tashkent (tier IX) in the same configuration and Udaloi (tier IX) in her stock configuration will become researched post-update
  • If you own Udaloi (tier IX) before the update has been released, then all mounted upgrades, signals, flags, and consumables will be demounted and stored in the Inventory; Udaloi (tier IX) and all mounted modules will be removed from your account; Tashkent (tier IX) will be added to your account together with a Port slot; Udaloi (tier IX) will be added to your account

Note: Tashkent (tier IX) will not equip 130mm/55 B-2-U guns, so if you've researched or currently own 130mm/55 B-2-U guns for Udaloi (tier IX), the compensation is as follows:

  • If you researched the 130mm/55 B-2-U main caliber guns for Udaloi (tier IX), then 19,000 Ship XP will be added to Tashkent (tier IX)
  • If you own the 130mm/55 B-2-U main caliber guns for Udaloi (tier IX), then 1,800,000 Credits will be added to your account

ah, I suppose I was asking by proxy whether Grozovoi will be unlocked if I have an elite Udaloi now, it doesn't address that directly

No. If you have Udaloi elite, you will get  tier 9 elite Tashkent  and a new tier 9 stock Udaloi

So the Trashcan that is utterly garbage at tier 8 will get repair and then stuck in at tier 9? lol

This not safely puts this ship in the title of worst tier for tier ship in the game.

I am curious of the new tier X DD though.. might be worth free XP'ing trashcan

Devs think they need because they are "not effective in competetive game agaisnt smalelr ships" or something like that .

More or less they said something about fighting BB instead of DD , so they buff the damage and glorious RU DD will now atack Gearings instead of Yamatos

Of course not. The Khabarovsk shits on everything that makes other DDs' life a living hell: Radar, hydro, planes, cruisers.

It will 1on1 every ship in the game, hell I earned an Arsonist from a Zao the other day. The scary scary Zao that could do nothing but miss me every 15 seconds

And of course worst performing IJN DDs can't get such a buff back to their old HE for example. And apparently it has nothing to do with the ships being surpassed in most roles and how they fit into the current meta but just with the 'players not being aggresive enough' WG says, shortly before they are going to release USS Black which will certainly encourage aggresive play for IJN DDs.

To add some granularity to your comment, do look at the amount of games played in Khaba in comparison to Shima. So for now a lot of people still feel the shima is better than Khaba and play that one.

But those numbers are from long time ago when shima was super popular , now it is not but numbers are still there

You also need to take into account that the Shima has been in the game since the beginning so quite a lot of people have had the chance to go for it, while Khaba was added way later into the games life. Shima has been changed quite significantly over time but people still have it in port. IJN, USN and KM ships tend to be more popular than Soviet ships in general because people find the history more interesting, not to mention that Soviet DDs have a different playstyle and the lack of torpedos might put people off from grinding the line.

The average damage of the Shima is 1/3rd less than that of the Khaba and it has 5% less winrate. It sits at the bottom of all stats of tier 10 DDs.

But since it has a large player base it probably has some really great players that blow Khaba players stats out of the water right? Lets see what kind of outliers Shima can produce:

U66wLJ7.png

BrSpuV7.png

The best winrate on Shima over 100 games is 66%. The player with the single most average damage with a Shima has 60k, which IS STILL LOWER THAN THE SERVER WIDE KHABA AVERAGE. So yeah statistically Shima is garbage compared to Khaba. More people might be playing Shima but not the best Shima player can even manage to come close to matching Khaba.

I have never heard anyone ever say that Shima is better than Khaba. Shima has one gimmick, which is also it's main draw, and that is it. Gearing is arguably a better torpedo boat.

Up until recently most people tended towards saying that the Khabarovsk was OP and I don't think anyone will tell you it is not a strong ship in it's current state.

My point is that Shima is crap and Khaba is strong and WG decides to buff Khaba.

Is Trashkan being buffed in any way?

I couldn't wait to get out of it, pretty bad ship compared to the Udaloi...

The only buffs are 1900 dmg HE, 6th upgrade slot, and the heal. The other stats are the same as the old tier 8.

Dammn...

Trashkan was a pig to steer, Udaloi was refreshing as it's so nimble and stealthy. Guess I'll never have a Khab now :teethhappy:

Khaba is a pig to steer as well but it's a stronger ship than the nimble Udaloi. And obviously, Grozovoi is meh and not worth it
