Camping BB's

last 3 days were like this:

 

DDs push, i push with them, no matter what ship im in.

 

at my side of map we win the cap, kill some ships and proceed to the other side of the map, where the rest of team went to, lemmingtraining behind some islands, dying one by one, not achieving ANYTHING.....

 

nevertheless we take the 2nd cap......kill some more ships.......but suddenly the ships with me leave me alone, not smoke me, nor support or spot the now rushing and incoming enemy DDS.

while the rest of team still camps behind that island, 5 km from the 3rd cap....

 

we lead by 200 points....

then i die to above mentioned players without teamplay skills...that gained just from my weight on the other side of the map...

 

as soon as i died, we lose both taken caps and the rest of team dies in 3 more minutes, blaming ME for being a noob, not helping the lemmingtrain.

 

im so sick of this game! i just cannot win ANY GAME since 3-4 days at all!

because [edited]uselesss NOOBS, that think they play well....

 

players, that dont know game basics and just died themselves through to high tiers!

 

this camping meta is now in ALL classes! not only BBs.....

 

and it pisses me off!

Yeah but, that's because the Cruiser Captains are sick of being the only target early on in the battle because the BB's are so far back there on a different Map !

 

I don't play Cruisers normally unless it's missions or whatever so just lately I have seen this first hand for the last week, you really do get the impression that you go in to back the dd's when they're capping but it's a fool's errand as you have no backup as the BB's don't give S***

So to stop the piss-take for the missions I have resorted to using the IBUKI that has a 19.2k range so getting in close is unnecessary, just can't wait until this part of mission is over as it's no fun! 

I have never had  2 bb's in a battle........ never heard of that one,  alway 5 at least.

 

 

 

 

Pushing is a team effort. While there are BB that just pointlessly wank-about, there are not so many of them as people claim. 

 

To push you need several things.

 

1. You need to know where the enemy is. Making an early push into entire enemy team will not end well. 

2. Now when you know where the enemy is, you need do decide, is there any point of making a early push. Generally speaking, in order to push you need an advantage. Either numerical or qualitative advantage. It is always easier to defend. If you do not have it, but you are roughtly speaking equal. Then you must create that favorable situation.It is called "shaping the enemy," essentially it means taking some time and using your strong points  to reduce enemy hit-points and killing-off as many enemies possible This is what many Cruiser and DD players call "noob BBs sniping", then rush of at the enemy, gets killed, thus giving the enemy numerical advantage to push.

3.You should choose a place to push using common sense. In many occasions players try do rush centre cap first, and then are surprised that many will not follow. While sometimes it works. In practice it is always better to start from either left or right cap. Because going through the middle will give enemy ability to shoot at you from both flanks and get easy citadel hits. Rushing into centre cap first, with-out knowing where the enemy is heading, is more-or less suicidal.

4. You should understand the ships you are fighting with. Destroyers are very fast 35-39 knots, Cruisers are fast 30-35.knots, Battleships are not, usually 21-30 knots (Iowa class 33.knots). If Aoba rushes off with 35.knots then New Mexico with her 21.knots will take much longer do get there. More often, then I see flat-out camping BBs, I see Cruisers that does not understand the speed. They rush-off, gets killed. And then call BB, that was following them with maximum speed, "camping noob". Battleship also has citadels and they are usually spotted much earlier than cruisers, meaning that BB often need to take evasive action far before cruiser players think, reducing their speed even more. 

 

 

So yes, I do agree some Battleship are just cowardly campers. But are there massive numbers of them, not really. Often, Cruisers owing their much faster speed, over do it, giving almost no chance for a battleship to support them.  Many reports of camping BB are right but just as many are not.

so shorten the gun range, no problem, only if you shorten the reload time, make the turn radius smaller, increase the ships speed, and you end up with a cruiser, there different.

I play high tier BB & CA, I DON'T CAMP, i like to push, but if your cruisers dont push with you are in for a quick death due to you slow reload etc, sooner ranked battles are back the better, at least people play as a team unlike most random games.

Look at my other stats instead of the ship my girlfriend plays...  she doesn't do bad in it either to say she doesn't have a clue. If you are looking for the answer in stats you are going to struggle in this game I'm afraid.

 

Use concealment and map reading to avoid being caught out. Always a sign of a lost argument when you try to win it by "uuuh buuu stats!"

Something has got to be done about them, , was in a match  where 4 of them hide behind one island, 2 N.carolina's warspite and a tirpitz, why do they both playing if all their going to do is hide behind islands ????????

Game is not easy enough for DD's so they need to balance that.

i know what you are speaking for but some times is not that the case (with camping bb) . I have one game where only me (NC) and Amagi went to defend one part of the map . There agans us were Iowa , Bismark one dd and one cruser. Of corse they push us back to the map border but in the end we manage to kill all of them. For the team we were camping in the end all the time becouse now they see 1 bb at the map borders ... no one care that you are fighting against stronger enemy and defend the flank... So not Always is the case with camping bb
