Kassiba Players 59 posts Report post #1 Posted January 13, 2017 So for the other 3 campaigns, you get an achievement after completing the final mission. However, for the christmas convoy you need a Tirpitz. So if you don't have one, you can't finish it ?!

KptStrzyga Beta Tester 4,868 posts 5,014 battles Report post #3 Posted January 13, 2017 Correct me if I`m wrong, but this awesome camo for final task gives you exactly nothing: same bonus as standard free camo you get with premium ship. It only looks different. Still, this mission will get you tons of other free stuff. I like free stuff. All kinds of free stuff.

Yep, the final task is "Fight one battle in Tirpitz" http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?showtopic=70327 Similarly to opening requirement, which calls for Graf Spee... Not having it wouldn't let you even start the campaign. Good, that the other rewards aren't behind the sort of paywalls...

You know, if this were a full price AAA game that you put 60+ bucks over a counter just to be able to install it, I could at least see the basis of that argument. But complaining that you don't get a free camouflage worth 3k Doubloons that you couldn't use anyway unless you actually put money in to buy the Tirpitz is simply stupid. Newsflash, the base content of this game is completely F2P. If you want special goodies, like say premium ships, premium time and, oh ... I don't know ... premium camouflages, you have to pay premium for that (it's kind of in the name, really). I would've thought it'd be abundently clear how the business model works for games like this, but apparently some people can't quite wrap their heads around that obvious fact.

Too bad I don`t have Tirpitz, Missouri or not, more free exp from your cash printer is always nice. WG, pls make another mission, this time with camo for Atago as reward! [FIFO] ilhilh [FIFO] Beta Tester 2,451 posts 7,514 battles Report post #13 Posted January 13, 2017 It took me a little while to finish the hunt for the graf spee missions and then by yesterday I had completed section 2 of the christmas convoys i.e. I had got the second Graf Spee/10pt captain. This morning I was up early so I got 6 games in which went something like this: Missouri win - 948k credits netting me 2 pins for stage 3 (51 plane kills on the Essex who had a hard on for me and hit 1 torpedo only all game). Missouri win - 516k credits netting me 2 pins for stage 3. Missouri win - ~600k credits netting me the final 2 pins for stage 3. Taiho win - finishing final stage of stage 3 to get me Leander camo (and I assume more credits since I had the Leander in my port already). Missouri win - ~800k credits netting me 2 pins for stage 4. Missouri win - ~600k credits netting me 2 pins for stage 4. Since I can run 3 missions at once I am soaking up some extra rewards in the other 2 slots... but I can repeat the credit missions 3-4 times faster than I can earn the XP etc. 1 more Missouri win and then 1 extra game will see me complete stage 4 and get the Farragut and I'll rinse and repeat as long as I can. Whilst I can't guarantee 500k every game (last night a Hipper put 3 fires on me, I repaired, and then an Essex came, flooded and burned me and knackered my steering so I turned broadside to everything and I died super quick), I think I can expect 500k credits on a minimum of 2/3 of my games and as such I can make quick progress along this campaign. I still kind of think that I won't have time to complete the whole thing, but that depends on how much gaming time I can eek out of this weekend.

Where have I mentioned just once that stupid camo ? What do I want with a camo for which I do not have the ship ??? It is all about being able to complete the campaign without having to pay 60 € to be able to do so. If that doesn't fit your definition of pay content.... My idea of f2p games is that you can achieve everything a paying customer can, although it might take you (much) longer. Because I know that standard XP when it comes to flags, camo, and first win bonuses are calculated from a static percentage. It stacks the way you would expect. So the Tirpitz with the camo and Papa Papa signal gets 25% of its final XP as free XP.

That last part is for those that have the Tirpitz and only those. You do not get an achievement or something you can look proudly on your pixel resumé. Normal games tend to update their achievements list when they get an add-on/content DLC, but you still can't earn those until you actual buy said additional content. There is nothing wrong with that and everything you say just reeks of entitlement. To spell it out for you: you can absolutely achieve everything in this game same as paying customers, provided it is part of the free game. The Tirpitz isn't. And you still get money, signal flags, premium consumables, ships, portslots and even premium camouflage for FREE by just playing the game without having to spend anything.
