[NAVOC] Niibler Players 723 posts Report post #1 Posted January 12, 2017 So, when will we have Cage? Any release date leak from the RU forum? I've heard in a source that it will give a 199.9% chance increase to be detonated when using it in the Indianapolis.

[POMF] Verdius Beta Tester 1,989 posts 4,247 battles Report post #7 Posted January 12, 2017 If they are going to give us actors as special captains they could give us: Sean Connery Being the first scottish Soviet submarine commander in The Hunt for the Red October Liam Neeson From the god-awfull Battleship movie Although honestly I'd rather have them be based of of actual historic naval commanders rather than them all being a random Hollywood cast. It would also make it a bit easier to actually give all nations (except for the Chinese) special commanders that way. (And require a lot less of a hassle and cash on WG's side) For Japan they could pick Hara as a captain with a destroyer specialized skillset for example. Or Togo for the Mikasa. Widar_Thule Players 322 posts Report post #18 Posted January 13, 2017 I would much, much prefer to see historical real world naval commanders added in WOWS as "legendary" commanders instead of seeing more actors who pretend to be something they are not. If more actors are added to WOWS however, then there are actors to consider who played naval commander roles in other navies then the already represented USA Navy (Steven Seagal) in WOWS. For example. Actor Anthony Quayle (on the right in the image) as British Royal Navy Commodore (later Rear-Admiral) Henry Harwood, HMS Ajax in the movie "The Battle of the River Plate" (the actor on the left in the image is Ian Hunter as Captain Charles Woodhouse, HMS Ajax): Actor Jürgen Prochnow as German Kriegsmarine Kapitänleutnant ("Kaleun"), the commander of U-96 in the movie "Das Boot":

Thought you would love to have that, as it would make the BBabies leave the game. Imagine they having submarines lurking at them in addition to DDs with torps, HE spamming and planes from CV? Hunt for Red October was an awesome movie, on par with Crimson Tide minus the exploration in life as a sub crewman insight. Liam Neeson is an overall great actor in the wrong movie (though I personally liked the last battle where they used the anchor to DRIFTUUU the Missouri for a kickass broadside). Plus, subs are not going to happen, we've discussed this in alpha. They are way too easy to hide, nigh impossible to shoot at, can roflstomp you while submerged, and only one class, DDs, are equipped with depth charges.
