Please fix the chatban system

Since we cant have enough threads about this abusive system here, have an other.

 

Just came from a battle with two players in a division (both pink mind you), randomly chatting in spanish on the team channel for half the round, even thou they have been in a division. After i i asked them to please use the divison channel or stick to english i just got back a "fck you not talking to you moron", just to find this afterwards in port.

 

 

Thank you very much WG for such an fascinatingly broken an easy to abuse system. I will start to abuse it now too and just chat report everyone who i dont like and who kills me. Maybe its another drop in the bucket till it spills, who knows.

But indeed the system is crazy: on the one hand I would prefer to not have a limit at all if I think about the constant trash talk in-game (or even better: give me a permanent ignore function in those cases, not just one match). On the other hand we have clear abusive behaviour regarding reports, which is kind of baffling considering the ever "so adult audience" (loosely quoted:

Never said that im proud of it, im merely showing how toxic this system is and how easily it can get abused to ruin the game for someone. I for one logged off for today because playing without chat is, in my opinion, retarded. I want to coordinate with my team or help them out. Otherwise I can go play with bots if i dont want to chat ...

 

I simply dont understand why there is no word filter like in WoT that just **** out the words, with the option to turn it off for the people who are not special snowflakes that get offended if else someone goes nuclear when they screwed up.

Sure, since i get reported for every nonsense i started handing out reports for every nonsense too. Why would i be only abused and not abuse the same way others do ?

I dont consider suicidetorping as proper gameplay, so there we got. Have a -1. Cant stand people whos only gameplay is to brainlessly rush into an enemy, unload their torps, die, take someone with them and repeat that in the next game, just to die their way up. I've seen people with sub 5% survival rate in dd's in hundreds of games ..

Maybe the others just log off and call it a quits without questioning the integrity of the system ? Im certainly not the only one. Hop onto the Forumites channel in game, you can read that someone got chatbanned at least twice a day, im pretty sure that is not a Group of barbaric savages either.

When I see your signature i have a hard time beliving you just asked them politely to take their chat to div or did something after they relyed. Anyway divs complains should never count to a ban im with you on that but perhaps thats just.me, -)))

I have been known to be a bit rude in chat when I get too frustrated and yet I've never been chat banned.  As someone who collects them, perhaps you need to look a bit more at your own behaviour.  Goading people into reporting you and then complaining that they have is both childish and dull to keep reading about.

No one gets a chat ban, if only two players in one game report you. There has to be a history of "chat complaints" before.

Of course, wanna try ? You need 10 chat reports to get banned, if both give you 5 you got it. Simple as that. They stack and there is no checking against word filters or anything whatsoever. I already got chatbanned after rounds where i havent even said anything (since i though im still chatbanned from the last time). That changed now thou, but it still gets massively abused.

If you want to screw with someone and report the player with the only intent to get him banned, of course you that. What else would you do ? Report once and hope for the best ? You spam all your reports at him and hes silenced, easy as that. Try it. Get a division mate, find someone who is talkative, both spam 5 reports at him and watch the silence.

Had the "pleasure" of playing against you multiple times... i can guarantee every chat ban you got was probably deserved.

 

Heck... one of those sigs of yours was probably me after you went on a 5min rant of wishing me cancer and how will karma get me in the  end. For the crime of nuking your North Cal  when i was in my Gearing. 

 

Please... sometimes just count to 10 before you type.

In the past 2 weeks my games were so terrible I was chat banned like 3-5 times already. It was my first chat ban since like 6-8 months or more. Not to mention my teammates play like bots(or they are bots accounts which would explain a lot to me) so I'm always out of reports before I quit the game. 

 

I never used so many reports in such short time before since I started playing this game seriously in closed beta.

Just to prove my point .. This just happened minutes ago .. Edniburgh gets oneshot becasue he just stopped and smoke up infront of me, he starts to whine and i come back to port to 2 reports. Mind you i was chatbanned so i couldnt even have said something to hurt his feelings ..

I did an experiment to see how long it would take me to get chat banned by saying "We will take Jerusalem, DEUS VULT!" at the start of every match

it took 3 months on and off to get chat banned.

so either I've picked the wrong thing, or people arent as sensitive and you're just unlucky
