Hello,

i have a i5 3570k at 4,2 GHz with 16 GB Ram and a GTX960 4 GB and my game runs smooth most of the time (the fps do sometimes drop in the port though, dont know why).

When there are a lot of ships on my screen the fps sometimes drop to around 44 fps.

A.) My Question is: What graphics settings do i really need and what just cost performance with almost no effect?

B.) I have two main problems besides the optimization of the graphics:

1.) I have problems seeing the smoke border, because there is a sun shining on the water

2.) When a ship is further away i can not always see the smoke clearly, to predict the movement of the ship, especially when the ship has fire(s) on it.

Any suggestions/tips?

Thanks! :)

Can you try making WoWs Replays and ther replaying them with various settings in order to see where the bottleneck is on your system?

I could do that, but do you think, that i should could run it on full details? I never realized a bottleneck on my system in other games.

Any suggestions to point B?

The easiest way is for you to play with the graphic settings as Leo_Apollo11 suggested above. Take a replay where you have smoke, fire etc, everything you want/need to test and play with the graphic settings. Play with shadows, reflections etc.

I have a i5 2500k, 8GB of memory and the same GTX960 video card and I get a constant 60fps. About the port I can't tell you, I am using the ocean port, always did. I don't need tons of more polygons while doing nothing...
