scharnhorst or graf spee

Hi. I can only afford one.  But what one?   I play both battleships and cruiser's.

The former is a good ship, the latter is...a collectors item.

Scharn: (Probably) the best performing BB of any tier other than Nikolai.

 

AGS:  A very situational cruiser with decent torps and guns but the same paper armour that they'll all plagued with. Will not perform as well as Scharn in any hands.

I don't know, I've always fancied how the Tirp looks. Scharn turrets seem a bit overgrown for her size but that maybe part of her appeal. Tirp looks more proportional and aesthetic to my eyes

If you can't get the Spee before the 19th, then the spee... Pure fun ship and the best money I've spend in this game.

 

If you got the Tirpitz, then Spee.

 

Spee got the same guns at tier 6 + you get a mix of both worlds where the pros overshadows the cons.

 

Put it like this. You can be match vs a cruiser, yet you get BB guns + repair.. Whats not to love about this ship!

 

I own all three and rank them as #1 Tirp Credit grinder, good allround, torps. # Spee Guns!!, repair, best of both worlds!! 3# Sharn Good BB, Good all round except guns can be a pain in the A** some times.

Spee then.. Something different to the Tirp.. If you are good in both cruisers and BBs, then you will be excellent in the spee

I have yet to unlock the Spee but i can tell you 100% certainly, that you will absolutely love the Scharnhorst if you like playing your BigBullyship aggressively, she's maneuverable enough, has immense armour and is also armed quite well, especially when it coems to fighting destroyers and cruisers at shorter ranges, where she really excells.

 

If you want a BB that can drive right into a cap with 2 smokescreens and eat the DDs for lunch, you need a Scharnhorst

Why?

Because for one, it looks like the better ship overall. Not sure about the Graf Spee since I don't have her yet, but I do have the Scharnhorst and she's absolutely amazing!

And more importantly, you can get the Graf Spee for free if you play the "Hunt for Graf Spee" campaign

It's probably the easiest "grind" for a ship there has ever been. A few games within a week, then some more in the next week. 

Im not trying to make you look stupid but if you don't play enough to "grind" the spee then don't waste money on them when you have a tirp as you said. I've spent money on ships and maybe it could of been better spent. Just think about it.

Both. Buy the Scharnhorst and get the Graf Spee for free, through the current campaign. Why would anybody buy the GS when you can get it for nothing.

 

Its no grind to get the GS. I dont play much, but even I am on track. Its easy.

Shinyhorse is just the better ship, and it looks gorgeous

I got gifted a Spee, and it's very fun to play, but Scharnhorst is probably definitely better. As others have said, it's a very easy grind, but, if you buy Spee you can easily complete the Christmas Convoy missions and get:

Bayern

Fuso

Budyonny

Farragut

Leander

Each comes with the line fully unlocked to that point, a port slot if you don't have it, and a free permanent camouflage. You can also get a 10 point German captain, a different permanent camo for the GS, and a Tirpitz camo if you own one.

 

Overall, get the Scharnhorst if you want a better ship, and the Graf Spee if you want lots of free stuff with it.
