Possible changes to consumables (before Captain Skill changes)?

  • To increase the comfort of players and to reduce maintenance costs, changed down the cost of improved equipment. In addition, in order to reduce the difference between the types of equipment, recharge the standard accelerated and improved Now recharged a little longer:
  • catapult fighter Hours for battleships reduced to 60 seconds;
  • Cost of equipment "Emergency Team II" is set at 10 doubloons / 15,000 credits;
  • The cost of all other types of improved equipment installed in 5 doubloons / 7500 loans;

  • Recharge time outfit "Barrage I" for the carriers is reduced from 360 to 300 seconds, "Barrage II" for the carriers has increased from 240 to 270 seconds;
  • Recharge time outfit "Barrage I" for cruisers and destroyers reduced to 160 seconds, "Barrage II" for cruisers and destroyers increased to 140 seconds;
  • equipment cooldown "The repair team I" is reduced from 120 to 110 seconds, "Repair Team II" increased from 80 to 100 seconds;
  • Recharge time of equipment "Smoke generator I" is reduced from 240 to 220 seconds, "Dymogenerator II" increased from 160 to 200 seconds;
  • Recharge time outfit "catapult fighter I" is reduced from 180 to 160 seconds, "catapult Fighter II" increased from 120 to 140 seconds;
  • Recharge time outfit "spotter fire I" reduced from 360 to 300 seconds, "spotter fire II" increased from 240 to 270 seconds;
  • Recharge time of equipment "Fast and the Furious I" is reduced from 180 to 160 seconds, "Fast and Furious II" increased from 120 to 140 seconds;
  • Recharge time outfit "sonar search I" is reduced from 180 to 160 seconds, "sonar search II" increased from 120 to 140 seconds;
  • Recharge time of equipment "Search radar I" is reduced from 180 to 160 seconds, "Search Radar II" increased from 120 to 140 seconds;
  • Recharge time outfit "recharge Acceleration torpedoes I" is reduced from 360 to 300 seconds, "recharge Acceleration torpedoes II" increased from 240 to 270 seconds;

And, last but not least:

 

JamesWhite has closed the thread on the Russian forum, and their comments suggest that they are upset about this leak (likely by Russian super testers).

 

For us this means the leak might be close to truth, or at least is under discussion among the devs and, perhaps, also the testers.

With those "improvements" prepare for more camping, or this is a first step to introduction a "platinum" consumables only for gold. Anyway I always use all gold consumables starting from tier II and never ran out of money. Rather opposite - its amount is rising very fast. Soon 100 M ;-)

 

Anyway what about Warspite special consumables ? Did they will be nerfed too ?

longer DC party for BBs and the new BoS skill on tier 3... good buff for HE spamming Ca *Zao wink wink* (2% DE doesn't make a big difference).

Not sure what to think about that active time of fighters 360s nerfed to 60s...

Most cruisers are of course overperforming, so let them be hurted more too. Especially those who are played aggressive around caps and without repair party.

 

Day without more "genius improvements" made by WG is a lost day. Sadly a too little effort is taken to asking community about how the game should look like. Ballance between ships ans their classes is no more. Look at OP german BB line, constant DD nerfs, a lot of cruisers like second class citizens, CV problems ....

Well it seems to me like WG is really trying hard to piss most of its small playerbase. I have been playing just a little over month, but if this, combined with that idiotic skill tree they are planning, goes live, I am off. Left WoT 2.5 years ago and will not have a problem leave this as well.

Reducing catapult fighter to 60 seconds sounds reasonable, as you can have 2 of them with the new skill.

 

Reducing smoke timer by 40 seconds sounds pretty harsh.

These changes are ridiculous. Agressive gameplay should be encouraged, not nerfed.

Problem is that BBs dont play aggressive even though they have all the tools to do so, as long as they have the capability to snipe from range they will do it.

Well but that assumes everyone will take the skill. I will not, yet I will also be punished by this change.

The idea to make the difference between premium and normal consumables less pronounced is a good one. The problem is: the nerf to premium consumables messes up the balance.

There are ship that rely on certain consumable (or a couple of them) to stay relevant. The most obvious "offenders" would be RN cruisers - not every map has islands you can comfortably lob shells over. The smoke is often "not is the time I can do some actual damage" moment for them. I'm pretty sure 90% of them sail with premium smoke. Nerfing premium smoke is nerfing the line.

To varying extent the same applies to various other ships - there are some ship-consumable pairs that I use stock most/all of the time, but also some where I don't leave port without paying for the premium version. Ships that have one or more consumables from the second group get nerfed with such changes.

Any nerf which is striking cruisers/DD or CV is a bad change, making more people going to BB play.

that is how WG is advertising this game, so nothing unusual with that change. Be a Boss, take a BB and smile in other's faces.

They are also cheaper and you still get one more charge... so I guess with the changes I'd play full prem consumable loadout.

In game state as it is now credits are already meaningless. Using always premiums on all ships and only in tier VIII/IX I have some debt from time to time. 70M accumulated and growing very fast.

They are going to change so much - skills, consumables - who knows what else those maniacs come up with :hiding:

What could possibly go wrong? As a DD player I'm all for making catapult fighter planes useless ofc.

And the sense in buffing regular free consumables and nerfing the premium ones until there's almost no relevant diference in running the premium ones is...?

 

It's nice to have them for less credits, but wtf?

The biggest hit will be to BBs and how often they can put out fires etc. and to DDs with how often they can sit in smoke. As a cruiser player, BBs that are easier to keep alight and DDs that are easier to keep spotted make me happy :)
