According to not just a handful but a great lot of players, DDs are more important for winning a game. Stealth, speed, the ability to cap fast and unseen or to pop up at unexpected locations is nothing to disregard. That's also why they are usually focused as soon as they are spotted. A good CV player can also be a key to victory as well as a good cruiser player. why would you not play a battleship Some people prefer other classes because BBs are either too slow, have too long of a reload or are just not the type of ship they want to play. cruisers just get one shot If you are unlucky, doing it wrong or play against a fairly skilled player, then maybe. But a cruiser is supposed to be countered by BBs, so what do you expect? From my experience, a oneshot on cruisers is by far nothing a BB can rely on since most of the salvos result in one citadel at most. Salvos with overpens are much more common and if so you wait about 30s for like 3000 damage even in high tier battles. Yes, you often see videos on youtube, how a BB deletes a full health cruiser with one salvo but they are either very dependent on RNG (hard to reproduce) or compilations (cherry picking). destroyers are going to die because of rangefinding Which is something I am not sure about. Don't get me wrong, RPF is in a way a broken skill, but: I doubt that every captain will receive this skill as soon as the update hits. I for myself think that there are a lot of more useful skills to pick for BBs and that you can make up for not choosing this skill with a minimum of situational awareness. and CVs were essentially removed from the game That's the first point I can't really argue with but you don't hold a class's population down at about 7% (IRRC) by making them overly easy or rewarding to play. BBV probably wasn't in the game as such, if there were enough complaints about the OP in previous encounters, then it is likely that he had been flagged for 'watching' and this may well have just been a co incidence as to the timing, OP is proably one of those loud mouths that abuses everybody in every game so it is well deserved probably, possibly a Forum ban and a 3 day in game suspension probably wouldn't go amiss either ...... LOL just checked out BBV on Warships.today and he played 3 games in the last day, all in German BB, so I may be wrong in my initial assessment and that you may actually have come up against BBV in his Bayern or Konig, and just happened to mouth off to the wrong person !!!! Anyway as to the OP's opinion, the clue is in the name....
