2.: some guy always runs off alone and then complains that the other players didn't follow his command because obviously he's the admiral and should tell everyone else what they have to do and where they have to go

(lemming train can be very successful if it actually keeps going, the lemming trains you see dieing horribly are the spineless cowards who immediately panic when they see the first enemy ship and stop pushing, making the whole push collapse)

5. thats confirmation bias, though planning ahead can be useful, I remember a few times where ive been caught reloading, if in doubt, just fire the ammo you have loaded, it will usually do at least something, if you really dont like the choice, play either BB or British crusiers, they should only fire AP anyways

6.: Can confirm

10.: and the moment you queue in any ship that suffers from CVs you will be matched against one and he will instantly make it his life goal to ruin you

- dd's have to run a full turn around a cap-circle before they are allowed to enter

- dd's don't need to use their guns... ever... especially ijn ones

- only permitted areas for bb's are 2 sector-lines-rows (whatever :D) close to borders (preferably upper or lower ones, but for sure the most closest one)

- scylla lives in mid on two brothers, if u cross there at start u'll get eaten

ok... one serious:

- lemmings lose... ALWAYS (xcept for other team being lemmings as well, train clash inbound or the funny chase game)

damn... just 5.... learning is hard :hide_turtle:

-10 and when there is a cv he will go nowhere near you.he will avoid you like the plague. I've had games in my Cleveland where DDS shot down more planes than me

As far as your team is considered BB stands most of the time for:

1. Balless Boat

2. Brainless Boat

3. Balless&Brainless

-10 and when there is a cv he will go nowhere near you.he will avoid you like the plague. I've had games in my Cleveland where DDS shot down more planes than me

Don't worry if enemy carrier always avoids you...

Eventually you'll get team with total retard carrier who manages to feed planes to only enemy ship with good AA.

Just a few things I've learned over the last year which may strike a chord with others :)

  1. If there is a fail platoon, they will be on your team.
  2. If you go East your team will go West.
  3. If by some miracle a team member follows you in support they will get in your way when you're trying to manoeuvre and avoid incoming.
  4. The number of signal flags you have mounted to boost xp is inversely proportional to the base xp you will earn.
  5. Whether you have HE or AP loaded it will be the wrong type for the next target you see.
  6. Your win for the daily xp bonus will be the worst game of the day in that ship.
  7. The other team will create a mutually supporting formation with military precision. Your team however will scatter like a herd of cats dropped into a dog pound.
  8. Their BBs will angle and swerve like a slalom champion while focus firing on you. Your BBs will sail along in a straight line shooting seagulls til they bump into an island.
  9. If there are an odd number of DD's, the other team will get the 'extra' one.
  10. If you buy a Cleveland and use modules/captain skills to boost AA you will go 10 straight games without seeing a CV.

Totally agree!

Just a few things I've learned over the last year which may strike a chord with others :)

  1. If there is a fail platoon, they will be on your team. Good. More damage and XP for me, while the enemy is competing for the free kill.
  2. If you go East your team will go West. I do have a rudder, don't you?
  3. If by some miracle a team member follows you in support they will get in your way when you're trying to manoeuvre and avoid incoming. This one by and large is true.
  4. The number of signal flags you have mounted to boost xp is inversely proportional to the base xp you will earn. Find somebody to division with, if flags are scarce and you need to make them count.
  5. Whether you have HE or AP loaded it will be the wrong type for the next target you see. There is no wrong ammo type, there's only wrong target selection or bad positioning.
  6. Your win for the daily xp bonus will be the worst game of the day in that ship. Who cares? This just means there'll always be better games, which is a good thing.
  7. The other team will create a mutually supporting formation with military precision. Your team however will scatter like a herd of cats dropped into a dog pound. Communicate more. If that doesn't work try berating and questioning your team's manhood. Military and Navies around the world and though the ages have been run on the principle that this inspires people to great deeds.
  8. Their BBs will angle and swerve like a slalom champion while focus firing on you. Your BBs will sail along in a straight line shooting seagulls til they bump into an island. See above.
  9. If there are an odd number of DD's, the other team will get the 'extra' one. Which is usually advantageous in standard battles.
  10. If you buy a Cleveland and use modules/captain skills to boost AA you will go 10 straight games without seeing a CV. Cleveland is still a good ship, even when you can't make her borderline OP AA count. Just look for cruisers to rush and put your US AP to work or find something to burn down behind an island.
  11. When you make lists, it may trigger people with obsession issues.

1. An Enemy ship can blithely expose its flank to you for an extended period of time and receive only superficial damage from all the broadsides you shoot at it. However, should you expose your ship's flank even for a moment, you will instantly receive several citadel hits, sinking or severely crippling your ship.

2. Some players suck so hard, you wonder if their fathers had sex with a vacuum cleaner.

3. The distribution of bad players is always uneven: your team gets the majority of them.

4. Just when you think a hail of shells did relatively little harm to your ship, there is always one last shell that causes massive amount of damage.

5. Whenever you have a mission to sink specific ship type, you can be certain there are none in the enemy team. And if there are some, then you will spawn as far as possible from their starting location.

6. If there is a ship in the enemy team that is particularly dangerous to your ship, it will always be in the same sectors you are heading to at first.

7. The enemy cap timer runs at least twice as fast as yours; maybe even faster.

8. If you get hit in the cap zone, the cap timer resets fully. Enemy cap timer barely budges even if half of your team is shooting at the capping ship.

You forgot one:

The BBs on your team following you to assault a point will turn around and retreat so soon as the first shell lands even when the enemy force is weaker leaving you to die.

Hah, just today I watched Yugumo and Kagero (both good hp) encounter Kiev. Kiev rushed right at them and they just tried to torpedo him and hide into smoke. One of them found his main guns, but way too late :fishpalm:

What this game has taught me:-

It has reconfirmed a belief that most human beings are incapable of rational thought, logical decision making, that people can be cowards even in video games. I never used to think this way, but the older I get the more cynical I become.

11: When playing standard mode with one base each, my team will completely ignore one side of the map, lemming train down one side while the enemy has a pleasant stroll up the undefended side, stopping to pick flowers on the way, have a manicure, see a movie and then take the cap. If only there was some way to predict this behaviour.....

Hahaha!! Made a good laugh OP! I opt to change the name of the game into "World of Murphy's."

I wonder if this gentleman played this game:

"Wars teach us not to love our enemies, but to hate our allies."

Homo Sapiens started going extinct the moment food started "growing" in supermarket and getting it stopped needing slightest thinking ability.

Good summary. :).

Ad2: In chat most of team agree to go A+B, at least 8 guys go C (or even better, around father side of C)

Ad10: That what AA ships are, CVs are so afraid of them, they dont even got in MM with them. Try Atlanta :)

This could be me, except the last. In my case it is an AA focused Texas

And then one glorious day, when I was bearing down on a Konig, I hear my AA blasting away and see an enemy air strike coming my way. I was so surprised I nearly didn't manage to dodge the one torpedo that was left. And a few seconds later their second CV also goes for me! Or the DD next to me. I think I was at 30+ plane kills when the enemy Zuiho posted in chat: "So that's what a Texas does... "

Yes. Basically specific cases of Murphy's Law for WoWS :bajan:

- If you torp, the target will change course immediately... but your teammates are going in straight lines until they hit map border (or sink after being torped)

- If you are in a DD, enemy team will have 2xCV, Belfast, Atlanta and bunch of gunboat DD. Divisioned.

- If it is domination game, your team will always have less and weaker destroyers than the enemy

- If you propose "A+B" strategy and all agree, half of the team will go to C anyway

- DD in your team always sleep for the first 2 minutes of the game

and so on ;)

This could be me, except the last. In my case it is an AA focused Texas

I found out that this can be easily solved by divisioning with a T5 CV :great:

- You always get a CV in the enemy team

- You don't get T7 matchmaking

- Your CV can use your AA to get rid of enemy planes (lots of T4-T5 CV captains don't pay enough attention to Texas AA)

In games with multiple cap points,

At the start of the battle my sides dd's will steer in zig/zags / circle behind the BB's or go anywhere but into the caps

the enemy dd's will spear into the caps and grab them all unopposed,

In the rare games where one of my sides dd's does grab a cap, the rest of my team will all follow him into it and then refuse to budge from that circle for the rest of the game

This behaviour especially notable when I'm playing CV
