I did not have this problem for a while, but now it has happened twice in a couple of days. :(

This time I was in 90% HP when both enemy and lost HUD appeared. When situation was over i had only 5% HP left and no damage to enemy. :(

Today this problem became a bit more serious. After losing my HUD I tried to recover by alt+enter. The result was that my game halted and I could do nothing else than plugging the power off.

The game unfortunately every now and then totally halts my computer. The only survival trick is to restart the computer. Game cannot be killed and task manager cannot be accessed. :(

It's still happening WG ....................The HUD disappears when you press one of the weapon keys (like 1 or 2), and the only thing you see are the torpedo launching arc and the white guidance line. Typically, the game crashes after this happens. I noticed people other than me have the exact same problem. Seems to be only with DD's!

If you manage to end the match without crashing, the problem continues to the next game if you don't quit the game and restart after the match. Did you try the suggested Alt+Enter and did it work?

It happened to me again. Right at the moment when I rushed my dd to protect our base from enemy dd and cruiser suddenly my HUD disappeared and I only had the basic view in front of me. I could move my view and I could give some commands (turn, accelerate, change weapon, etc), but minimap, chat, healthy-bar, etc were not there. It was a bit difficult to shoot at enemy when I did not have any crosshair to aim with. :(

Is there a shortcut which sets this "feature" on and off? I think one of the last keys presses (accidentally) the moment HUD disappeared was "1" - or something close to it - and perhaps something else at the same time. Or is this a known bug or perhaps it depends on my laptop specs.

Has anybody else had the same problem?

I could not recover my HUD so, I was killed in short time. This was the second time this happened to me during battle. :(

there are is one reason this happens and 2 solutions to the issue....

1) Nuclear Option..... uninstall / reboot / Reinstall (PiTA)

2) Easier option.....

a) Open launcher

b) Look at top left - settings -

c) Click on Support

d) Click on check

e) Wait for a while while the tool does its' thang

Hope it helps...... the best option TBH though is to do a clean install on each and every MAJOR patch (ie 0.6.5 then 0.6.6 etc) this whole issue is down to corrupted or badly located files when patching. This is the reason WG gave us the 'chek' tool to overcome these misalignments.
