HUD lost during battle

It happened to me again. Right at the moment when I rushed my dd to protect our base from enemy dd and cruiser suddenly my HUD disappeared and I only had the basic view in front of me. I could move my view and I could give some commands (turn, accelerate, change weapon, etc), but minimap, chat, healthy-bar, etc were not there. It was a bit difficult to shoot at enemy when I did not have any crosshair to aim with.  

 

Is there a shortcut which sets this "feature" on and off? I think one of the last keys presses (accidentally) the moment HUD disappeared was "1" - or something close to it - and perhaps something else at the same time. Or is this a known bug or perhaps it depends on my laptop specs.

 

Has anybody else had the same problem?

 

I could not recover my HUD so, I was killed in short time. This was the second time this happened to me during battle.

This turns off whole interface.

Press it again to turn it on.

I had the same situation, with my HUD flickering. It happens to me only when I play DD's and when I switch from torps to main guns...

There is a known irregular bug that causes this. With some luck the HUD flickers enough to still be of some use, but most of the time it is gone completly if it happens.

I'm getting it once or twice per week. Even in the port some elements are not available and only a restart can recover the mess.

Have had this for a while (2-3 months) although not happened since last patch. In that 2-3 months it has happened aroun 6 or 7 times.

 

At first it just flickered and although the HUD goes I could quickly type 'Have no HUD' and hope team had seen message.

 

But it tended to get quicker and crash after first couple of times, so if it happens now I try to point my ship in a friendly direction, then let team know.

 

That way if/when game crashes I can restart and may still be alive. Sorry to hear you have issue.

Now that I think about it, I didn't get the bug since the last patch either. Hopefully it is fixed for good. Nope, still happening.

I did not press CTRL+G but my HUD started flashing during the battle, it end when battle was over.

I've had this a couple of times, but not for several months now.

On one occaision at least, the whole game came to a stuttering halt and I couldn't even quit the game - had to un-plug the PC and reboot to find myself the last of our team alive. For about 5 seconds, then I got slaughtered.

Well, I just tried it before battle really started to toggle off/on the HUD. It could be that I cannot toggle it on if the bug (or whatever) causes this during gameplay.

Damn, the flashing HUD seems to be back! Just come from a game where the HUD started flashing and then went completely. At least the game didn't crash!

This happens to me too , some member said its a problem with AMD gpu's .

 

Solution:  Press ALT-Enter to enter window mode then press it again to enter full screen mode

Im sure it will work  sounds like the exact same issue as i have been having , and to reduce the problem try resetting graphics to default also . Goodluck

I've had this problem before. The HUD disappears when you press one of the weapon keys (like 1 or 2), and only thing you see are the torpedo launching arc and the white guidance line. Typically, game crashes after this happens. I noticed people other than me getting affected by the crash as well. Drive your ship to safe position, wait for the crash and restart WoWS. Proceed to play after you've restarted the game client. Alternatively, you could also kill the game client from task manager and restart WoWS. Know that you should be able to type to the chat normally, even if you don't see the text yourself.

I had the same Problem and i didnt have any AMD in my PC.

Intel i7 CPU and Geforce 660 TI.

I have exactly the same problem and today it's happening in every other game, I have had this off/on for the last 4month's now peeded off TO SAY THE LEAST F.F.S.

I would just like to add, this problem is related to the changing of weapons buttons, I pressed 1 to change to guns and all the Hud data and graphics disappears, change to Torps and only the green arcs are visible, go back to guns and if you vary the view position to the 3rd position out on the mouse-wheel the flashing GI appears in a partial form. Restarting the game is the only solution but sometimes it's straight back, this is making the game unplayable for many players and needs investigating before you lose customers.

I've had this on & off since early post-Beta; reported it loads of times, no-one seems to care.

 

I've got an Nvidia GPU & it certainly is not a case of accidentally pressing CTRL+G, nor does ALT+ENTER reset it. Very occasionally if you move the mouse in exaggerated strokes, once the cursor touches the "edge" of the viewable area & the camera starts to move, everything will flash back (just as the HUD redraws), but once you're past those two or three pixels it's back to a glorious, HUD-free existence.

This happened more when I had no mods than when I had mods, funnily enough.

 

EDIT: @TheRonson yes mate, I definitely feel it's related to changing the weapon buttons.

Have you tried ALT-Enter?
