So, Wargaming are telling us they have stopped the cooperation with Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Can we be certain that these missions/ships will never be seen in the future again? I'm contemplating making a brand new account just to have a clean account without this crap lying around hidden somewhere in my port (I can't see them, but I know they are there).

I'm not complaining about anime. I just don't want anime in my "realistic" history oriented warship game. There's a time and a place for everything. I don't eat chocolate with my cheeseburger.

If you do not like the ARP ships then just use a different harbour. They only appear if you are using Yokusuba.

Sorry, but all I can say is: Get over it or make a new account. But considering that WG plans further anime cooperations (and might revive old ones) you won't get rid of it even with a new account anyway. So, the "Get over it" option might be the best one.

The Yokosuka port was removed with the last update. In order to not see ARP ships, you now have to tick off a box in the ship carousel settings.

Sure, but then again, I have plenty of options to consider as to what to do in addition to these two. I never asked you for this kind of advice though. I'm an adult, so I have the ability to make my own decisions. My question was regarding the presence of ARP (or any other anime for that matter) in WoWS, not what to do about it.

Wait I'm confused.....for you removing arp ships by deselecting the tickbox isn't good enough (even though it does the job perfectly), so you want to completely remove them even if others like them, just so you can feel better? or am I missing something?

 

That's like those people who complain about people who use mods yet they use features that were once mods but were made official by WG, and in their eyes that justifies it

You are missing something. There have been other threads about this before. I simply just don't want this feature forced upon me and my account. It's a shame that Wargaming haven't made it optional. I know that many players like this feature, and appreciate the ability to get higher tiered ships (like Atago and Myoko) without grinding a tree for them. This is all good, and I'm happy for the players who want it, to be able to have it. I would never want to forcefully remove a feature like this from players simply for satisfying my own selfish needs.

 

Since it's not part of the core game, I think it's strange that it isn't made optional to participate in the missions and getting the rewards for said missions. If it is a sponsorship thing, I would gladly pay money to have it removed. Anyways... that's not really on topic either. It was a rather simple question, and Tungstonid seem to have answered my question adequately.

Again; I'm not really complaining. I asked a fairly simple question, so I am able to make a decision as to what I want to do about it in the future. The options are many, but I don't see why I should bother the public community with my personal choices.

I agree. Most of it can be well hidden. I still don't get why we can't simply turn off the feature all together.

Silly to reroll your account simply to have an account without any arp ships in it when you can simply untick the box in the filter settings. The reroll motive might be a case of 'wanting to start a more pro account now that you can play the game a little better so you can build up epic stats'?????

Just out of curiosity: What other options do you have besides the ones I (or you) gave you(rself) IF you want to continue playing? Or is it about the "I won't pay any money anymore" card which you would see an alternative option?

And to clarify: I did not question your ability to make your own decisions or gave you an advice you have to follow. I merely stated the facts and gave you my opinion (which could have been a little bit less pushy, I give you that) about the best option you have if you want to play WoWS in the future.
