Captains,

 

Please post all bugs using the following template here:


1. Description

Clear and substantial description containing all necessary details.
Example: the cruiser Aoba: scout is inoperable.

 
2. Reproduction steps

A sequence of the player's actions which triggered the bug.
Example: 1. Select the cruiser Aoba 2. Enter the battle (Training or Random Battle). 3. Try to launch the scout.

 
3. Result

In-game experience resulting from the bug.
Example: When you press the scout activation button, you can hear the sound, but nothing actually happens. The aircraft stands still on the catapult.

 
4. Expected result

In-game experience which should have occurred if no bug is present.
Example: The scout has to be launched by the catapult.

 
5. Technical details
Example: Bug time: about 19:30 (UTC).Replay (attempt at 01:00), python.log, DxDiag.

If you encounter this error, please zip your ~\crashes\ folder, upload it to any online file storage and add the link to your report.

Let us start with the launcher and its unwillingness to stay on the same language.

First I changed the language to English, launcher restarted, then I set DL speed limit to 4000KB/s, launcher restarted and also set the language back to Russian, but still thought that it was English. Tried setting Lang to German, then back to English, and changed DL speed limit again and again the language changed to the previos one(German this time) I speak all 3 languages mentioned, but how does the launcher know that??? :)

Updater failed several times. I tried to reinstall Failed again

What puzzles me it is : Winver not OK  Win 8 or higher needed ?

1. Description

New radio positioning finding mechanic has ingame Russian text when player is spotted by it

It shows Russian text instead of English

To show text in language that is selected in settings

Ships that are spotted are invisible. Other players might see him (Division mate could see him). Shells, torps and secondarys are visible, but the ship is not.

 

2. Reproduction steps

Currently unknown

 

3. Results

You can not see the ship visually. It is visible on the minimap though.

 

4. Expected result

Ship is visible to the player.

1. Description

Was slowing down with RN cruiser Neptune / Minotaur..

After activating my premium smoke at aprox 20Kn it gave 1 puff (what looked like) just behind the ship.

Also with RN Minotaur with prem smoke and 20% radius skill, gave 1 puff of smoke on back part of ship. Speed was just under full speed.

It also seems to happen more often on the testserver then on normal server.

 

 

2. Reproduction steps

It happened at least 20 times now in 10 games.

Got it with normal and premium smoke. And with / without the +20% radius smoke skill.

Also tried different speed / skill combo's. But it happens very irregular. Had games with 3 good puffs and the last one gave a puff behind the ship (offcourse on a decisive​ moment). And also had games with only bad puffs of smoke.

At Full speed : 1 puff on back part of ship

3/4 speed : idem

1/2 speed : 1 time clearly 2 puffs (1st covering the ship and the other covering the ship just when I sailed out of the first puff), 1 time 1 puff on very back/behind ship

1/4 speed : couldn't tell if I got 2 puffs

 

3. Results

No cover from smokecloud or sailing immediately out of cloud and still detected by (what I presume) a DD.

 

4. Expected result

Give 1 or 2 puffs of smoke  covering the ship

 

5. Technical details

No entirely sure this is a bug as such but when I logged in I already a T8 Edinburgh with premium camo and all the premium consumables with a captain who already had 4300 captain points. I also has over 1 billion credits, 6700 Free XP and 118k Doubloons - See screenshot taken during 1st login (flags still loading into game) - Also the T6 Fubuki as equipped with Premium camo/consumables too.

i got the same bug

 

1. invisible enemy ship (CV) while it was spotted and inside the render range

2. ?? happend once

3. i was unable to shot at the enemy, other ships in my team were able to see it

1. Description
When using new "Smoke Screen Expert" skill on British Light Crusier using smoke at aprox 17 kts give 1 puff behind the ship while there is still 4.5 seconds left on the deployment.
 
2. Reproduction steps
1. Select any British Light Crusier 2. Have a captain with "Smoke Screen Expert" skill  3. Enter Battle 4. Sail at aprox 17 kts 5. Press Smoke deploy button and slow down

 

3. Result
One Puff behind the ship and in real battle you get killed before you can retreat into the puff

second puff should appear as it had over half the deployment time to do it

1. Description

Happened to me as well! This needs to be fixed because it is highly annoying and not really dependent. Give us 2 puffs and it would be fine. But I get sometimes 1 sometimes 2 and sometimes even 3 puffs very unpredictably...

1. Description
While I was in a Batte with the Friedrich der Große my steering was locked to maximum right while not pressing any button. Pressing "a" balanced out the steering but steering to the left was impossible. I pressed all the keys involved with steering the ship without affecting the abnormal behaviour. after writing about it in chat, while the ship kept on steering right, the abnormal behaviour stopped and steering left was possible again.

 
2. Reproduction steps
I have no idea what lead to the behaviour and i have not been able to reproduce it.

 
3. Result

Handicapped Gameplay due to limitiations in maneuverability. Pressing "a" for steering left only leads to moving straight ahead.

 
4. Expected result
The ship should not have deviated from it's course without player input

Then to add insult to injury, with patch 0.516.1.1 probable, the main game was affected  !

I cleaned the computer of any WG refference abd downloaded the game from scratch I did it TWICE. still the same issue both on PT and current version

The screen in port blurs, game is still running but you cant click on anything
 
2. Reproduction steps
Happened twice when i unlocked the next ship in a line with XP
 
3. Result
had to close the game and restart. game was still running, i could just about make out the number of players online change.

Bismark secondary batteries don't work, only AA works.

Reproduction steps

each battle same effect, unchecked activate priority targeting, still no effect.

​Result

​any ship can get as close as they like secondaries won't shoot!

Exactly the same happend to me. I have to add to things: my secondarys fired automatically on the target and after the invisible ship was sunk, i could see the wreckage. Happend only once.

​Had the same problem once, while waiting on the ship to appear which I bought.

Game went back to "normal" when I pressed Esc.

Same issue found. I was in the middle of upgrading a ship. Same issue. Didn't think to try esc so alt-f4 and restarted

1. Description
This is a bug report related to the current live version of the game.

 

The bug: The client draws muzzle flash and smoke to appear incorrectly in the middle of the map in some conditions. The smoke should appear at a ship, but because of the bug it is sometimes drawn in the middle of the map (origin), which I suspect is a (0,0,0) point in the client's coordinates.
 
2. Reproduction steps
I do not have exact steps to reproduce the error but it is common enough to see almost in all matches if you are looking for it. So, I suspect the bug has to do with ships changing their detection status in some timespan while shooting, and the client incorrectly instead of not showing the muzzle at all draws it in the middle of the map.
 
3. Result
Muzzle smoke and flash effects in the middle of the map when there is no corresponding ship present.
 
4. Expected result
No muzzle smoke and flash effects in the middle of the map.

Also happened to me when selling and unlocking ships. was all the times solveable with esc but mouse did never work

This is an ages old bug that forced me to accustom myself to use Q and E for bigger course changes. It apparently happens when you're in the turn constantly pressing A or D and at the same time select a target for secondaries or AA with Ctrl+LMB. From the top of my head I'd say to press the button of the direction you're turning into to release the "lock" but that's a guess.

Can confirm this, like others mentioned it's solvable with Esc but it's very irritating nonetheless.
