dragonair160 Players 4 posts 276 battles Report post #1 Posted December 24, 2016 One fateful night, around 2 days ago, a small pop-up screen appeared while I was in port for a tier 5 premium IJN DD called "Kamikaze" for 2800 doubloons (half price sale). This isn't the Kamikaze R that came from the event, but is instead a "base" Kamikaze, that only pops up as "Kamikaze" during battles. I don't think I've seen another around, but I might have seen maybe one or two. Someone in a Kamikaze R said that it's never been available on the NA or EU shops, and the wiki states that the ship is promotional. No clue why it appeared, but I bought it and now have it. The camo paint is green, not blue like the Kamikaze R. The camo is labelled as "Type 9- Kamikaze" and gives the same bonuses as the Type 6 camo, just 70% less to xp earned in battle.Please remember that this is not the Kamikaze R that could be obtained during an event. This is a different ship, one which I might not have seen before, and is listed as "promo" on the wiki. Any information on it and possibly the rarity of it would be nice. I know that on the Asia server, the Kamikaze was sold as a premium at one time. Alright, thanks for telling me this. Just some Info: WG said to never bring back Fujin and Kamikaze for sale again (more powerful than the now weakened Tier V IJN Silver DDs). As much as OP's question: I really don't know how rare KR is. I see them quite frequently when I play the relevant tier. Kamikaze -R could be won in the pearl event. Which gave WG a feaces storm "light" like the Christmas convoy now: all non EU servers were granted the KR when one would win a certain amount of pearls. We had to cope with a "lottery" back then. WG quickly changed their minds and granted us 1 as well. Did take more pearls to win though. But that was 1 of the reasons IMO why the "christmas gate" was such a public uproar. And frankly I can understand the sentiment completely: why give the EU server a different treatment (in 100% of the cases worse AFAIK) every time? What's the heamorragic point in that? But: honor to whom honor deserves: I think Markus Schill has redeemed himself completely with his announcemt: he bit the dust deeply and we are given the same change as the other servers do. (I bought the Kamikaze and Anshan.) All DD's and all were offered after having a particularly exceptional game in a DD, I've no idea if that is relevant or coincidence.
