Tirpitz camo - the one in the shop

Is that the same one as the +100% free xp, 50% battle xp, that you can buy directly in-game with doubloons ? Or is it a different one ?

100% more free xp is kinda nice though, the vanilla one does not have that.

 

But no idea if it's the same as in the store. Would be great if someone knew.....and I'm not gonna test buy it, I have spent enough money on boxes and the Graf Spee for this season. At least the boxes were good value.

I like my Prem camos, infact i hope they release one for every single ship.

And yes, i bought all the available camos for ships i have in my port, and will continue to do so for the last 4 CVs i don't have yet, but not these.

I just don't want to spend an significant amount of money on things all other regions have the chance to get for free.

Why would you buy camo for the Tirpitz when she comes with one for "free" with the ship from the get go. An extra 50% exp doesn't sound great to me for 1000 doubloons.

Because of the different boni, the one which is available in port adds another 100% of free xp to it. That adds up quickly with Papa Papa flags and if you enjoy playing the Tirpitz you can unlock other ships with that xp without paying - so a camo with 100% more of that is a big deal.

 

So this is why I would really like to know if the store camo is something else or the same that can be bought in port.

Would be kinda nice if they told us that. What if I buy the shop camo and already have it by directly buying it in port. That would kinda suck and I bet their customer service is unavailable over the holidays.

Same one. I bought to grind Mighty Mo. Pre account+Camo+ ESCL+ Papa papa = 1000~2500 Free xp per game. 

 

I bought because i got fairly good amount loot from containers. And want to return some favor

That means there is an opportunity cost from the gold of 75,000 free experience converted. Or 105,000 of you have some patience.

 

Now work out how much free exp you'd get extra on average in a Tirpitz.

 

My average exp in the ship is about 1.8k.

 

Currently I get 5% of this back in free exp. That's 90 free exp per game.

 

So it would take me 833 games to earn that without the cammo.

 

With the cammo, 400ish games.

Assuming I only play it on daily doubles, I'm being kind and averaging out the daily to a x2, that's 200 games just in Tirpitz. Premium might bring it down some more too.

 

So let's assume 100-150 games. Just to break even. That's best case scenario.

 

If you were going to buy the ship and get a bundle and it's free, go for it. If not, it's a waste of money.

You forgot the mention that you have now perma camo of your own which you can use whenever you need in long term. Its good source of free xp. God Tirpitz Dispersion killing me.

I agree you with they should give them free as did in other servers. But i got Sims,GremyOp,Lo Yang and Marblehead from containers. Which i paid one ship amount money. Not even mentioning about crap ton flags and camos. Just give them some credits

Actually I have plenty mony I dont care for the extra (that is about 4-5 eu instead of cents but cant be bothered with the calculus) I bought it because this thread popped up and I got curious as well if it would be the same camo (color and statwise) as the ingame.

As for the sourness in your reply - it is the way it is and I doubt they will change it on Eu server so might as well buy it now and if it gets changed then so be it

And alot of us have already played a lot of Tirp. I've taken a Captain to 15+ points, I believe that's almost a million XP. 

 

Now if WG want to retrospectively give me the free XP conversion then I might think about buying the camo 

 

If you're new to the Tirp then the rip off camo maybe worth it, just don't think about the thousands of Americans, Russians and SEA residents using it for free...
