Quickest Way To Get Chat Ban? Type [edited] at Game Start

I kid you not. At the start of the game, I typed [edited] on the global chat. In the 10 seconds it took me to type something else, I had received a chat ban!

No idea. It was a random, water related, exclamation to evoke a chat response.

 

I have no idea, but I am guessing that most of the participants were none english, saw [edited] in the word and assumed I was being racist. That is the only explanation I can think of! o_O.

 

But, this does hilight the issue with the current ban system.

 

And... now I have found this word, I am going to say it more often... lol.

Could be right with the translation thing; or maybe they thought it was a 'little fish in big pond' insult. If you have a few coming off of a string of losses they might not want to hear that straight off the bat lol.

I know i will get banned on the forums at least for saying 'Hitler was right' but in the game itself nothing.

 

I think it maybe either has to do with translation or maybe even key words since i doubt many would have reported you.

No, I wasn't. I hadn't spent the day calling people noobs, or [edited], or [edited], etc.

 

Even if I had, why should I receive a chat ban for something as innocous as '[edited]!'? This is just showing the flaws in the chat ban system.

I don't care, I am going to see how many times exclaiming  [edited]!' at the start of the game gets me a chat ban.

 

It's far more rewarding than herding cats.
