I am very fortunate to be running a very high end system and a 40" 4K monitor, I just messed around with the settings and managed to run the game at 3840 x 2160 with everything turned up and no lag, my god how sweet does this game look at those resolutions, its stunning.....

I'm just curious. Does the minimap and other UI elements are big enough that he can see them without problem? :teethhappy:

There were tons of topics about that.

I am not in the OP's realm of 'look at what I have' but with my lowly 32" running at 2560 x 1440, the players panel is tiny as well as the minimap (compared to screen acreage), that is why I run customised players panel and minimap as you can then upscale it to match. Must look tiny on the OP's screen.........

Back in June I bought a 70" TV (Yes I am American blah blah) and I played ships on it for a bit.......was amazing, ran smoothly on max settings but was a bit much for me especially when a Montana was more than a meter in length in port.

Typical yank.....70" screen, 1" weener. Surpised you didn't get irradiated that close to the screen :P. Seriously though, how far did you have to sit for it to be playable?

I play the game sometimes on a 110" screen using a JVC projector for eye candy and 7.1.4 speaker setup being upmixed so ceiling speakers actually work when aircraft fly over my ship. Runs fine but there is a bit of input lag sadly.

I have a projector, I tried playing at 2X2 meters on my wall (I don't really remember with which resolution).....I decided it was too big so I went back to my screen

I find the 27" 1440p dual monitor setup the sweet spot. I see why people might try play on 40"+ screens but after a couple hours I'd probably revert back...

I got pain in the neck from playing on my TV, granted I had to put it very close since my desk/table isn't that big...

So now I play on a 22' 1680 monitor

quite the contrary. I think it is good to discuss things, like scaling in UI. WG could improve these things :)

True.

OP... Could you help others who may want to build a system like yours to run it in a similar fashion?

Download CPU-Z, run the validating tool and call it 'ForWOWSforum'.
The website will open and you can copy and paste the URL here.

Then people who need assistance building a supercomputer can copy your config

Just saw the Headline. Haven't read what OP is writing about, but it must be about me and my stunning performances. So, yeah. I know, right? Thanks for you appreciation, OP.

Yet it still gets eaten alive by a stock i5 4690k at stock (which is cheaper).

The FX range are a budget way into computing (I've two in my lan room BTW), but they are NOT high end 'can run NASA' computers.
