I like Roon. I got EXP for the hull and gun upgrades in 11 battles, without a single free-exp used.  It's sluggish and accelerates slowly, her largest downsides for me. But honestly, I enjoy her overall; buffed HE is very good and AP rekts cruiser broadsides. Add to that quick RoF and you get very pleasant guns. I suggest to not abort it yet.

Ow Roon yes, totally didn't comment on that yesterday as the osf intro made me want to play that game again.....

Roon is EPIC. It's by far one of the best long range spammers in the game, it's MADE to kite enemies pushing into it ( it does bad when pushing herself, but considering there are more German ships with this turret layout you should be aware of it by now ).

The only bad thing about Roon is people. You need people playing her, she doesn't operate on her own. Sadly it's like multiplayer gaming, it would be great, as long as you would be able to remove all human influence.

I will give it another try if I can find a division of Scrubs that is willing to carry my lowly [edited]. I did switch (there go my silver reserves ...) reload to range (for my long range c. stroking and being useless ....... :Smile_sceptic:) and now a full CE build against the other long range c. strokers out there.

...... its basically a shitty Ibuki right now, and omg thats bad, but we will see. :Smile_child:

.... and some summer-waifu ......... although I am already teeth-grinding again because of the heat.

I heard Graf Zeppelin and realized CVs need love too. Graf Zeppelin is nowhere near as popular as either Bismarck or Prinz Eugen. Fully understandable in the case of Prinz Eugen, but still.

How can you say no to this?

Will you play today anymore?  I'll take my dailies in an ~hour, after doing the dishes.

I was there and the most hilarious part was, when he ordered you to cap. At like 400:950 with 2 ships against 7 or so, all coming to get you both. :cap_fainting:

Oh, did he order me to cap in my Nagato, while fighting FdG + other ships? Geez. I didn't really pay much attention to chat as I was fully consentrated on to try to deal with the situation itself.

So, a little bird tweeted to me that some little ponystain has been talking smack about the Roon as if it were some unfortunate, bastardized reincarnation of the New Blork battle-bathtub.

Guess we'll have to solve this like in the old days: fondue-off! First the stick, then the leash, then the lake! Prepare yourself and cook up the cheese, I swear this orgy will be your last.

I somehow doubt they're going to give me enough bonus codes to supply the entire clan(s) with, though if WG decides to shower me with stuff, I won't say no and naturally share.

Would be neat if any other Scrubs are going to Gamescom on the wednesday so we can meet up, maybe lick a window or two.

Like I said in another thread I will be at Gamescom too this year.

Sadly I will be there starting Friday as my friends couldn't get the other days off. So no windowlicking sadly except you go to Gamescom on Friday or Saturday too. :Smile_sceptic:

I will be at the WG Party on Friday too maybe some scubs are in for that?

Citadeled an Izumo at 12,5km with Roon AP and it wasn't even fully broadside.

I guess I'll really have to start playing this in the background whenever I play a german ship:

I actually deeply love that "but I didnt listen-face"-meme. :Smile_teethhappy:Its just viral like the "but then I took a arrow to the knee" one. :Smile_teethhappy:

That reminds me of something:

or pick one of the older 2 versions:

Spoiler

If I remember correctly it hails from a really REALLY old (basically right after the first few episodes) old PMV of "Your gonna go far kid" (with the original lyrics, just a tad faster, I think) epicly ponified with Rainbow Dash.  (I still remember that videos description; something along the lines of: "Best. Pony. EVER." :Smile_teethhappy:). I suppose "The Offsprings - You're gonna go far, kid was pretty" was new (1 year?) and popular at the time.

Tell you something - boring text/personal stuff:

Spoiler

I dodged infection the first time when I saw a animated forum avatar of Pinkie Pie playing 10 instruments.

€: I actually looked it up after finishing the post ....... might very well have been this .gif downscaled to fit a forum avatar:

76304__safe_pinkie+pie_animated_paraspri

This is actually uncanny to downright O_O! /€

Back then the episode probably just aired a few hours earlier.  While it was hilarious and sparked some curiosity about the whereabouts, I didnt care enough for further investigation. If I remember correctly I even filed it under "probably weird Japan" back then - which certainly wasnt endorsing further research. :Smile_hiding::Smile_teethhappy:

Second time, I got infected, and I am sure @T0byJug  will approve: This is the Space Shuttle Atlantis creating a Sonic Boom and and a Rainbow ...... a Sonic Rainboom:

Spoiler

gpw-20040817k-NASA-KSC-00PP-1416-liftoff

Back then I actually wanted to re-find that picture ..... so I searched for "Sonic Rainboom". (That one should be save for Google  :Smile_hiding: ). Oh boy ...... because this is also a Sonic Rainboom:

Rainbow_Dash_performing_a_sonic_rainboom

Some more boring text:

Spoiler

Got curious, clicked one YT recommendation to much, got curios. Clicked on another video by accident, got even more curios, wanted to find out more about a certain scene. Picked the wrong episode mostly watched it for that one scene - ofc fruitlessly. . Watched another "wrong episode". Watched the right episode ...... got my scene, had the realisation: Wait, I dont hate this! How come I dont hate this?

122364__safe_rainbow+dash_adventure+in+t

Really liked the flash design, loveable characters, most trolling show-staff, more hilarious fan produced stuff than one man could ever count?

Spoiler

Back then it was also .... ruff patch in live. I had moved to a new place, but that wasnt the worst (not even anywhere close :Smile_sad:) and I remember sitting in the one (somewhat) clean or free place that was already assembled (mainly to have a place to dine), same one I am sitting now: The desk with the PC, eating some sort of ham with bread (no (working) stove, same as the  fridge not yet installed and operating) bought from the closest shop. I also had the internet finally turned on in the new place (and a wire running all through all the damn rooms), which provided some diversion like reading the news during recreational breaks or at the evening in general, but I remember being so sad, I actually mostly aimlessly browsed around .......

So here we are, all those years later, and if I ever drive you insane with those "Technicolor Diabetes Hazards" then blame it on the Space Shuttle Atlantis. :Smile_teethhappy:

Long story short :Smile_trollface::

68142__safe_edit_rainbow+dash_amc_animat

So enough "sad tales", rather:

(I really must be getting old if I start story telling about the past :Smile_child:)

I can't wrap my head around this... Roon a 'worse' Ibuki? Really? Did you wake up in fantasyland again, did the ponies kick you in the head to hard? Roon is two times the ship Ibuki is, and then some :Smile_hiding:

Grinding the Roon be like:

giphy.gif

Yeah its such a power house with no AP pen, horrible bounce angles on the AP and HE firepower against DDs that the old BFT B-Hull Omaha surpassed it by only a measly 30+ k dpm - while not having to shoot up DDs with 25 k hp btw.

Meanwhile it doesnt turn and its fat!  I had it coming at me with Baltimores and Ibukis next to it - for comparison. Naturally the Baltimore is also chubby, but the Ruin is fat! No wonder the shells never miss it! :Smile_trollface: It takes lot of damage even from HE or AP onto the superstructure - which is again big.

Its effective against close to mid range targets that are too occupied or too brain-dead to angle and do anything against the Ruin ........ except that goes for any other ship too, this one just might be slightly better at it (than some other shitty cruisers) because of the higher AP damage rating.

If any other cruiser would dare to show me this result with 20 cm shells, I would sell it on the spot.

115aPAx.png

Well I can design an even better german cruiser! It has the AP damage of of the Yamato but only 10 mm pen. It bounces off if not hitting the surface at least 89 ° and the HE does 10 damage with a pen of 5000 mm - so it will constantly citadel things! To make up for it, its as big as the Kurfürst, has the Armor of Black Swan and if you want to turn the rudder, the rudder shift is as long as however long it takes for the order to reach helmsman via written mail. So OP, much wow. :Smile_trollface:

I am now actually curious about the Donnie Darko - it was once considered the worst T9, but now with IFHE it might be passable enough ..... probably way above this pos.

Raining, fresh air, not to hot. Great weather. I am going to sleep well. Might let the bird enjoy the blanket even. The moment they realise they get to sleep in the bed, they turn into a happy and sleepy ball of soft and warm feathers. :Smile_teethhappy:

God I love the weather!  So comfy when you dont want to end your suffering either via moving in with Wolf ( :Smile_trollface: ) or at least a air-conditioning.

Also nothing beets rain outside with yourself being inside. :Smile_coin::Smile_trollface:

virtual_hike_by_bobthedalek-dbjh0fp.jpg

Dont take it to serious. A umbrella or a rancoat/jacket is all you need. Go out, enjoy the weather - even the food made from the fresh groceries tastes better! My windows are only closed when the Terrorbirds are allowed out (well some are not, but then the doors leading there are closed too).

And just to give you a idea: Its say 16 °C two hours ago. Its roughly the same inside. :Smile_coin:

When it comes to heat, do you have any possibility to go to swim there?  Today it has been hot (by local stantards :Smile_trollface:), +25 C, so I decided to go swimming and just came back home. It's so nice as there is a small, remote and thus so quiet beach not far from my house, where you can swim. Also there were some mallards (Stockente) swimming at the same time, not really caring about humans.

I, on the other hand, like being in the rain. Though I don't usually go deliberately into rain, but especially warm summer rain feels awesome ^^

Na jaa, Scorpio's element is water and that really fits me :fish_happy:
