So what do yo think should be done then? Also why are you even pointing out destruction ratio (kill/death ratio), it has no meaning in case of carriers

heh obvious troll is obvious!

or is it... really?

[and I call BS on this thing with "team with bestt carrier wins" - no matter how good CV player is he won't be able to carry a team that just dies faster than he can service the planes - at least as long as oposite team has and residue of brain between their ears - and I have seen alot of games where team with considerably better CV player has lost due to being outplayed by the other team]

Tier 9 carriers are seriousy UP. It is unfair that tier 8 BB with few perks is untouchable for tier 9 CV. Here is the proof. Look how much exp he made attacking lower tier.

I have an idea!

Ban all unicums because they are too stronk!

Also looking at your own stats ...... you are a pretty good example that they are not OP.

So the OP is complaining that the best players win the game?

Should it really be different?

doesn't matter what type of ships they play, everything would be overpowered in their hands anyways.

Carriers really need a rework, the balance between US and IJN carriers is really bad at the moment. Tests from the 0.5.14 shows that the hakkuriyu has a much higher winrate than Midway, Saipan (one of the few US carreris with a high winrate) plummets to the floor compared to any IJN carrier.

The OP assessment is completely correct, but nothing new. So what? We gonna trash a guy to death on his second posting?

Guys; part of what OP is saying is true, it's not even worth arguing against. The statistics is there for anyone to see: You can look at the top players in TX CVs and compare their average damage to the top players in any other class of ship. Or WR. Or kills/deaths. Or any metric you want. They will be considerably better. Fortunately for us all, few players are as good as exilde.

However; while CVs have a higher skill ceiling than other ships, CVs are not necessarily doing better on average - they take a long time to master properly. Some of them do over perform (like tier 10), but then again; all classes have examples of ships performing well for their tier; T10 just happen to be the golden one for CVs. A poor CV is just as worthless as a poor <any other ship>, or possibly even worse because he has just pulled your team into combat with an enemy who may have a good CV.

So what to do? CVs have limitations: they come with great utility (spotting) and great alpha, but pitiful sustained DPM (planes take a long time to reload). If you move in a giant death ball, it can be hard for the CV to attack a ship without finding his planes inside multiple AA auras, but this has the disadvantage that you tend to lose out on caps. So: If you know that the enemy has a superb CV, it could be smart to spur your team on to be aggressive and settle the fight early before his accurate deletions have time to influence the game while at the same time sticking together for AA. Similarly, if you have a very skilled CV on your team, it can be smart to be a little conservative early on and allow him some time to work his magic.

I do not think that CVs are OP, but that games get more boring if people play correctly against them. If you hold together with cruisers and BB in a solid lemming train, the CV planes will really struggle. However, I think this make for a boring game where the games are dominated by two camping lemmingtrains. Ships being afraid to push out of fear of ending up alone and getting picked on by the CV.

It's not a lemming train if the ships stay alive and stop the other team achieving their goals.

One person's boring camp fest is another's engaging tactical battle.

It is just my opinion off course, but if the CVs come back in force, I simply go elsewhere. I think games get more boring with one CV and games with 2 CVs are awful.

I hope that CVs will be more popular, it would make me play more. Specifically because early recon they provide allows team to make some early decisions who goes where. Thanks to that people dont just go in the dark - this streamlines the battle, makes it more fluent. This is also only just my own opinion.

It is however limited how much of the battlefield the plans can cover at one time, and you still have the problem with any ship leaving the lemmingtrain being jumped by a lot of bombers and torpedo planes... It is better that people go in the dark than people not going anywhere except camping around their spawnpoint.
