edited for clarity on situations justifying a restart; and to adjust a slight error in the rewards; places 5-8 will receive 5 tournament camos

To sort out all confusion: a team withdrew from the tournament changing the seeds from 21 to 32, to 20 to 31. This messed up the bracket on the tournament site. This will of course be fixed asap.
The bracket has not changed and is still the same as posted by eclair here in this thread.

apologies for your inconvenience

Just wanted to say, hands down, this tourney organization seems to be going quite well so far. Especially putting it all in 1 topic like this was very helpful. However, I wanted to clear 1 thing, to avoid any drama: basically, it's always about the ship line-ups and the spawns.

When exactly are we supposed to reveal to the enemy team, which side are we on? And also, when are we supposed to tell the enemy team, which ships are we gonna use, or that only goes through the referees and both teams will learn the enemy team ship line-up, when both teams join the training room?

Because for example, for I-SeALS, if they're to send the ship line-up to the referees, they're basically telling you guys (TTT): "Oh look, we'll use these ships." and they'll learn your team set-up, once they enter the room.

So, what I was thinking about was, why not use a method, which would completely exclude people from it, e.g. uploading the ship line-up to some website, which displays a time-stamp, so there's no doubt, when it was uploaded.

Cheers,

~t3h'Pâr4d0x

Since AAO and TTT are organizing together, informations for a TTT match will be handled by AAO and vice-versa. We also have an independent adjudicator that will be ruling in case of an AAO vs TTT match.

Besides, we'll adopt the same system used during the OMC cup. One team joins the room with its complete lineup and doesn't leave. The other team fills a google form with its line-up then join the room once the other team tells them to. Aaaand match start :) (also we'll request ingame screenshots of both line-up in case of dispute)

So, we can fill the ships like 30 seconds before we enter the room?

Hi ~t3h'Pâr4d0x,

As Ataw said :). In a little more detail:

- Each match will have one adjudicator attached to it. He won't be making the rooms but will be there as the game is set up. Both teams will provide their preferred spawns (host choice for map 1, guest choice for map 2) to him before any lineups are submitted. Once all the spawns are known, both teams will give their lineup for game 1 via PM. Once he confirms that he has both, the host team can open the room. Repeat the ship lineup process for games 2 and 3. We're hoping to avoid a situation where someone accidentally leaving or closing a room becomes an issue, since any actual ships brought can be checked against a lineup submitted before anyone had chance to see what the opposing team brought. We've clarified the ruleset a bit as perhaps wasn't clear when spawn preferences are to be submitted

- For games in which TTT or AAO are playing, Silence5 (who made the trailer for the tournament and has no affiliation with either TTT or AAO) has graciously volunteered to act as adjudicator. Be nice to him! :) None of us (Ataww, Dom, Tobiassho, myself) will have access to any information he is given, it's kept completely separate.

I do understand, why the start has been shifted from 16:00 to 14:00.  It will be PLENTY of work for all organizers, streamers and players.  Yep, it could be announced sooner, but I don't think it's such a great deal for the most of the participants (but some of them could already made plans for the weekend).   Try to understand, that those guys sacrifice their free time and gave nothing for that, just our endless thanks.

Anyway.   As I understand correctly,  training room will be opened only after both teams send their lists to assigned adjudicator and he confirms it, so no more again tier4/5 ships of noname captains will be accessing training room whilst enemy commander is offline between 1st and 2nd game.  I really appreciate that!

Looking forward to see you on Sunday, guys!

Hi toolong,

Our apologies, that was a communication failure on our part.

The signup and rules threads have said 14.00 since they went up on the 19th for what that's worth, but it's a pretty big screw-up on our end that the portal announcement says 16.00. We'll get it changed soon as possible.
