Error extracting update file

Hello,

i just discovered this game and i want to give it a try but everytime long download is complete (9456mb!!!) during the installation i keep getting this error: https://s22.postimg.org/lobolun01/error1.jpg

No firewall or antivirus blocking it.

I tried to check files after installations but of course it keep re-download everything again and again.

It is two days i try to make it working but with no results.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance :-)

But i don't know what to do. Or i would not be here to ask for help ;)

Hmm.. not exactly comprhensive. I don't claim to know what the issue is, but chances are, by what it sais, that it can't read the archive. This might be due to incomplete download(no ideea why), or due to damaged sectors on your hdd. It may be not be this at all. Yesterday we had some major issues with the servers, even wg staff made an announcement on the corrsponding threads, so download could have been compromised. Anyway, if you have a hdd, i would run an elevated cmd (if you are logged in as admin, just click start->run, enter cmd, press enter, then type "chkdsk x: /r", where x=the drive you are downloading the game to. It will take a while, especially if it's large. The /r will ask it to automatically repair bad sectors and recover data. Use this only if you have a hdd though, not a ssd.

 

After this, i'd just trey to redownload/instal the game, hopefully the server issue was fixed and it works. If not, i've no other ideeas, sorry. Even these may probably not fix anything, but the checkdisk is not something bad anyway, it doesn't hurt to try it. You won't be able to check the drive it's also the one windows is installed, it will tell you you'll need to restart computer if that's the case. Otherwise, it will just isolate the partition itself while it works, so you can still use the computer normally to browse and whatnot in the meantime.

So, i did a check disk and a defrag too and obviously didn't fix anything.

Even worse now i get the error after the first download (2938.8 Mb).

Another question: why if i disable auto update everytime i open the launcher it start with... auto updating?

No way to check integrity, the function is disabled and it will only download stugg again, and again, and again.

I'm going to try to install it by using Windows 7 compatibility and see (crossing fingers).

 

P.S. i have no problems with other videogames/softwares.

 

Edit: Ok after installing it and running with Windows 7 compatibility, after the first update i got a different error: https://s21.postimg.org/8fiy6dhnb/criterror.jpg

So, i closed the launcher and from the desktop shortcut i set again Win7 compatibility, run as admin and put "-integrity_default_client" after target's path. Now the launcher seems working well and downloaded and extracted first patches without any problems. Right now i am donwloading the big 9456Mb patch and i hope it will be the last time.

So, the game successfully downloaded and extracted everything. But after veryfing the integrity the launcher get stuck to "Game client check: initializing torrent session..." but then nothing happen! https://s11.postimg.org/4oah38w1v/gcc.jpg

Very odd, seems it's not connecting to server, even though it just downloaded the game. Probably not the case, but you're not behind a proxy, are you? Anyway, sorry, this is too much for me, and i'm just shooting in the wind now. I think you should give support a line with the details of what you've done so far and logs.

Thanks anyway, just opened a ticket. And now crossing fingers.

Contacted the support and with WGCheck software it recovered the corrupted/missing files and now the game works fine ^^
