Takao mission - Q&A

Also just finished the Nachi Mission....funnily enough I mostly used my Taiko to do it!  :-)

Wargaming, really... what the bloody hell were you thinking, when you decided it was a good idea to add as a requirement for the Arp Nachi mission to get at least 20 Russian sunk... Really what were you thinking?!

There are barely any people out there that plays with Russian ships for a good damn reason! Now please for in the love that anyone who wants to get this mission done, fix this!!!

It is manageable, using the Takao so you get a decent chance of meeting enemies down to tier 6 and play when the population is lower. Also, take the DE skill as soon as you can, it will help get a few kills even after you're sunk.

 

The mission is a grind, no argument there and it promotes bad gameplay, but it isn't impossible to achieve.

Got Takao today. It's really an amazing cruiser. If I knew how good Takao is I doubt I would have bought Scharnhorst.

Both Scharnhorst and Takao can be classified as class heavy cruisers, but I like Takao more.

Exchanged Takao captain with Myoko captain though, don't like the Takao voice.

I just wonder for how long I can play ARP Takao? Will the ARP ships be removed at some future point?

Nevertheless will play Takao till the last moment with pleasure.

I've completed the ARP Nachi and Takao mission and I know we are supposed to be getting 3 new commanders for those who completed either the Takao, Nachi or 'earn a same ship' mission. Just asking if those who have actually completed the missions received their commanders yet (I haven't received mine yet)

Finally in the eleventh hour managed to kill the 20th Russian ship. But then I have played far more than a normal player can expect to have time for. Best Russian ship killer? Chapayev. It is the kill that matters and she is good both vs cruisers and DDs. The fast reload and fires helped me. That I probably helped some others along the way by playing in a Russian ship can be seen as a sign of solidarity, but it was the most efficient killer that I had in port.
