ParEx Weekend Tester, In AlfaTesters 1,449 posts 7,711 battles Report post #26 Posted November 3, 2016 HE has been too strong for a while and we made suggestions that if HE has fire damage AP should have flooding damage and lots of other stuff HE alpha is just too good combined with fire % HE is kind of powerfull in some ships (Hightier IJN CAs who reach 20% firechance with their 203s) where you can set fire with almost every second salvo. On other guns like the 127s (US DDs, plus my Atlanta) its kind of weird, here you can get like 5 fires in 300 shells on target. So the overall "HE IS OP" statement is not true in every aspect. You cant touch all guns at once without screwing up balancing really bad. Some ships simply rely on fire to achieve acceptable results. 127mm PewPews cant bring down a BB at all without burning it down. Yes I did damage the Bot Roon, causing roughly 50% damage. Nethraniel - YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION - WHICH IS WHAT IT EXACTLY IS. PLEASE KEEP THOSE SORT OF OPINIONS TO YOURSELF. PS I dont play the 'game mechanics', I play the game and usually have fun. Just recently I'm finding it less so for some reason and I feel the game designers can improve the game.
