No HE has been datamined for RN cruisers a while before their release its definitely not an overlook but their flavor. Its ok not to like them, since theres other nationalities cruiser trees, any player can find his or her play style, but please dont expect them to change originality and flavor in the name of unified playstyle between the nationalities.

As a Fiji, I fear meeting a Konigs or Bayern more than I fear meeting an Iowa for that exact reason.

 

Playing "hit the chimney" at 15km with shells that take 11 seconds to reach the target and fall with the dispersion to cover the entire ship is a depressing game.

Especially with the balanced^tm armored decks on a few (*cough*) more recent BBs.

So far I've found that as long as you have someone spotting the enemy, you can sit practically invulnerable in smoke and melt enemy DDs and cruisers.   Seriously... sailing near my Leander in a Cleveland will be your end. Downsides are you are vulnerable to enemy fire and your AP isn't going to penetrate the armored belt of a BB.  You do need to hit the BB above it's hull and you can do about 800+ damage a salvo.

Im loving the low tiers, up to the Caledon so far and they are great, the Caledon wrecks destroyer face, and those torps... wow, single fire torps are heaven

Wait, so we're supposed to like -all- the lines? That kind of defeats the purpose of individuality and different lines, doesn't it? You don't like them, don't play them. Wait for the heavy cruiser line or bb or something. I doubt you finished grinding every other line in the game.

 

Btw, and even if they were made exactly as you wish, there would still be ppl complaining about something, because it's impossible to satisfy everybody! Hence, different lines. You don't like 1 line in 10+, big fking woop, play another. For the record, i'm not too fond of them, but i see their place. And good players can really put the hurt.

No. I like them. From tier 6+

Tiers 4 and 5 are garbage and I think that leaves a bad taste in people's mouths. Also they are the first line to be really different. Although actually they aren't...

 

US cruisers - generally no torps except two. Very good ap from tier 7. AA cruisers. 

Ijn cruisers - torps and he specialists with generally poor turret traverse. 

Russian cruisers - flimsy fast not very agile ships which can be seen a mile off. But with railguns and range 

German cruisers - generally all rounders. Good hydro but not amazing at anything

Royal Navy - stealthy, agile, have smoke, but are citadels with no armour and have special AP only. 

 

So we have cruisers with different flavours. I hope the next line brings something new too. 

 

My only genuine complaint is that Danae and emerald aren't any fun to play.

Nope. I like them very much the way they are.

I wouldn't mind more HP or armour of course, but i do not consider it to be necessary.

I rather think the british line is to different. The differences that are between the existing cruiser lines are great enough, and are noticable. Also, the differences in the other nations lines makes sense, but making CLs with no HE really makes no sense whatsoever.

Emerald I can't say anything on never played it but I enjoyed danae a bit too much me thinks. It's a good ship and in the right hands can give a kaiser or wyoming a slap about and put them in place

As many people have stated, the variations that different countries ships provide should allow you to find the type of ship that suits you best.

 

 

Which is why I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY WG IS MESSING WITH THE IJN DD LINE. IF I WANTED GUNS THEN I WOULD HAVE GONE FOR ANY OTHER NATION WHO HAVE TWICE THE FIRE POWER! LEAVE MY MINEKAZE ALONE!!!
