Gearing: 21 - 3 = 18 (Fletcher is more fun, it is weak against T8-9-10 Soviet DDs, good against IJN but any dd is good against IJN in a knife-fight. There is no such thing as all rounder. All-rounder means it's not very good at or it doesn't excel in anything  and a good ship must have at least one excellent characteristics of its own, imo.)

You need to give a -3 to a ship. That's the only way to eliminate ships. Give it to the Gearing if you don't like her, even if it was before patch.

I changed the rule when I unearthed that post a few months ago since there was way not enough voters for those. I changed it to : You have to have played them (no reference to patch) or played against (so if you play tier 8, 9, 10).

Gearing: 9-3=6 imo she is actually a torpboat, better torps than shima (reaction time). In cqc guns are quite good against DDs, but there are not many situations like that. She also lacks speed.
