I'm not actually sure I'd want the Hood or any other famous name RN ships in the game, as its likely they'll just end up receiving the WG "Brit treatment" - paper armour and "special" attributes that don't do them justice.

It is going to be tiered accordingly to its respective gun size and the number of guns it is carrying. so tier6 is out of the question. Example look at the Cleveland/Pensacola situation.

HMS Vangaurd, the last battleship ever built may also be a good pick for Premium british Battleship or Battleship line,

HMS Rodney had 16'' Guns unlike most British Battleships

I'd say nelson is more likely (Rodney is a nelson class)

One of the Big 7 (the only 7 Warships allowed 16" guns in the washington naval treaty) the others being USS Colarado, USS Maryland, USS West Virginia, HMS Nelson, HMS Rodney, HIJMS/IJN Mutsu and HIJMS/IJN Nagato

two of those we already have in game (both at tier 7)

from WG logic it's likely we will have Nelson at tier 7 with hood as a premium OR added later in a split Battlecruiser line.

I'd like the ship I really would but I'm refusing to give WG anymore money while WG EU treats it's player base like crap so I'm going back to F2P.

I was even really looking forward to buying the Belfast after playing it at Chatham Docks but I'm just fed up of being treated like crap whilst giving WG money so I'm not doing it anymore.

I still hope the ship comes out as it'd be nice to see some out on the seas!

I may be wrong but I thought the Furious damaged itself whenever it fired one of the 18 inch guns! More of a fast monitor really!

You could have Rodney as a tier 7 premium in the condition in which she punched the Bismarck in the face. Or at tier 8 in one of the proposed refits for her and Nelson which would increase their speed to 25.5kn and replace the 6" secondaries with dual purpose 4.5" or 5.25" mounts.

With the possible exception of the Bismarck sisters and the Yamato, the Hood is probably the most single most desired and anticipated ship this game could introduce, at least on the EU server.

If a 1918 Battleship gets a lower tier than a 1915 battleship of the same nation that's just stupid

HMS Warspit in game is not a 1913 ship. she was reconstructed in 1934-37 with torpedo bilge new power plant/armour  and more so she is a 1937 ship.

HMS Hood had a Major refit in 1929-31 but this was a refit not a reconstruction. she was not rely upgraded.she had no anti torpedo belt for a start

Hi

As I'm sure many are aware she was a WW1 design, and went through several design changes from the drawing board to the slips, to her active life.

Due to the additional armour that she received her quarter deck (the aft deck) was more or less permanently swamped with water unless on a mill pond.  Her handling was poor as a result.

Unfortunately she was a series of compromises and additions which left her being a WW1 battlecruiser pretending to be a battleship in a world where she no longer matched the competition.

Not one for me

Of course i want her.

She should be the vanguard of the british BB line, which - to add more diversity and satisfy all players who complained about the lack of HE on RN CLs - should have only HE.

Nice joker :-)

And WG knows very well that you guys want Hood so bad/desperate. They will create the most hilarious bundle of all time and celebrate the sales with sh*t loads of champagne. Like Scharnhorst - just worse

:-)

I wonder what stupid "gimmick" they'll dream up for British Battleships?

Rubber shells is my guess.

would buy her on the first day.

Like others have said she should be at T7

As for the British battleships play style, i think the warspite is a good example of what they will be like, Pros:  great accuracy  , good turning circle, decent enough armour when properly angled, great repair ability.

cons , bad turret rotation, average aa, poor fire resistant. slowish speed inline with the Americans.

obviously there will be notable exceptions through the line KVG springs to mind its amour will very formidable at t8 but its 14" shouldn't make it op.

Absolutely, I'm very much looking forward to the KGV class as long as WG don't put a daft gun layout on it and stick with history
