Well... if the trend for Wargaming EU continues to make the tier requirements harder and harder, we will soon reach the point where only T-X will be able to earn free ships.

It is a constant upward spiral that I have witnessed in my time here. There is only this one possible end result. Way to go to (not) include the community in your server events.

See my post in that thread. If we do not get a good answer this time I'm gone. If words can't transfer the message then actions have to. Hopefully we will also get a response in this thread with a very good explanation. But truthfully I only expect another evasive excuse.

Maybe I'm still here because I love the game? I 'only' hate wargaming, their decision making and their moronic view of 'server equality', but I still enjoy playing the game.

And no, I will not put in extra effort for this mission. I do not have a T9, I do not want a T9 and I don't care for ARP ships (although a free Atago clone would be nice)

You can play them with any port selected. You can change the port by clicking on the little anchor below your player name in the port.

Does anyone know a secret how to avoid duplicate ships/captains? E.g. I want Kongo, but not yet another Kirishima, which I can't sell/dismiss.

 

Duplicate ships: you get rewarded with the credit value instead, not sure about the port slot, though. If I remember correctly, you get it, too.

Captains: Well..., you probably get a(nother) duplicate captain, but at least this time there is also a crew reserve slot for every captain you get.

That's irrelevant (although, "fun" fact: one of the "missed" ships is one that couldn't have been won on EU in the first place - and now it's 20 kills of each nation, save the UK, with a ship also higher tier than what you get).

 

Either way. If someone had a favorite, he most likely didn't miss on that, especially since the missions were always so much easier to complete in high tier ships if you had these. Also, even just having one Kongo-class and Myoko-class ARP would kinda be enough since the ships are functionally the same and the rest is up to individual preference.

However, this is one and only Takao that can be acquired. On other servers you need 100k EXP on your favourite ships of mid-to-high tiers. This is a mission every active player can accomplish without changing the way he usually plays the game. The EU variant requires you to have a t IX ship AND to actually play it whether you like it much or not. Compared to other servers' requirements these are prohibitive. Not because they are hard but because some people can't complete the mission with their ships while others need to significantly change their behavior and play ships they don't really like.

Thanks for the info! It is good to know that at least the port carousel will have some space after the grind.

Well, Takao mission is a bit dissapointing to be honest. I currently have 5 t8 ships and 2 t10 ships. That means I have grand total of 2 ships that I can use to do the mission. And winning 50 games isn't all that thrilling either.

OTOH I don't know whats all the fuss about other servers having t6+ while EU gets t9+. Its only some 300k xp/ 15 million creds difference, you can easily grind that in 2-3 days to get ready for missions

this is realy a joke for us EU players, 50 wins in a t9 ship, while all other server only got tier 6+ come on why so much rage for the EU server. next time lets made EU use tier 11 ships so no one can take a bloody ship

The required tier difference between EU and the rest (IX vs VI) is just stupid. My highest tier ships are tier 8 at the moment and tier 9 is a long way as I don't have that much time to play. I was fully expecting tier 8 ship to be required and would've been fine with it but tier 9 is just [edited].

if someone knows some kind of black magic to do to get 15mil+ in like a day so I can buy Roon without selling every ship I have. Right now I have 1mill 400k yey not.

Otherwise if is one giant [edited]you to the community from EU office, because they limit who can get the mission done without no rhyme or reason beyond [edited]you that's why.

So from me all they can get is the same one giant middle finger. Thx WG EU for convincing me that spending money on Warspite I was planing on is a wrong thing to do and I be better off spend it on something like a few books for example.
